Breaking news: Russia mounts largest-ever airstrike on Ukrainian energy, leaving 1 million without power. Click to read more!

Russia's aggression against Ukraine has escalated with devastating attacks on the country's energy infrastructure, leaving more than 1 million people without power. The Ukrainian Air Force reported downing 92 out of 151 missiles and drones launched by Russia in a massive aerial assault. This attack, described as the largest strike on energy facilities, has caused chaos and disruption in Ukraine.

In a retaliatory move, Russia targeted Ukraine's electrical power facilities in one of its most destructive assaults, citing recent strikes on Russian territory as justification. The mounting tensions between the two nations have resulted in a significant impact on the daily lives of Ukrainians, with reports of casualties and widespread power outages.

Amid the crisis, the UN Security Council faced a deadlock as Russia and China vetoed a U.S.-backed resolution for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. The political tensions between global powers have further complicated efforts to de-escalate conflicts and bring stability to volatile regions.

As France attempts to mediate the UN Gaza stalemate following the veto by Russia and China, the international community remains on edge, grappling with the repercussions of geopolitical rivalries on global peace and security.
