Australia Day 2024 was a day filled with recognition and celebration as the Australia Day Honours List for 2024 was announced. Among the recipients were Chief Air Marshal Robert Chipman for his leadership in developing rapid-support plans and Commander Melinda Phelan, Detective Inspector Peter Dean, and Detective Leading Senior Constable Katherine Laidler for their service in law enforcement. The list also included 86 Western Australians who were acknowledged for their exceptional contributions to the community.
