Brendan Rodgers leaves Leicester second bottom of the Premier League - it has been quite the fall from grace for club and manager.

He said it was a mutual decision with Schmeichel and Ward, but Schmeichel was unhappy his run of 149 consecutive league games had come to an end. While there was a lot of sadness when he was told, there was conviction that it was the right call.

Brendan Rodgers has left his role as Leicester City manager with the club battling to survive relegation from the Premier League.

Leicester were also on the periphery of a European final last year, but lost to Roma in the Europa Conference League semi-final.
