3 rescued after yacht catches fire in Biscayne Bay (WPLG Local 10)

The Coral Gables Police Department marine patrol units helped save three people after a yacht caught fire in Biscayne Bay Saturday.

MDFR said that City of Miami Fire Rescue also assisted with fire operations and that foam was used to place the fire under control. Authorities said crews were able to knock down the main body of the fire with the master stream nozzle mounted on the yacht. According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, crews responded to reports of a boat fire around noon near the Coral Gables Waterway in Biscayne Bay.
