News of the Grammy award-winner's performance comes weeks after organisers apologised again for how wild weather and traffic were handled last year.

In regards to traffic and transport, Piticco and Ducrou said they had reviewed last year’s traffic management plan “in consultation with experts” and promised to enforce “compliance from the bus companies to deliver on their agreed service levels”, as well as improving staff numbers on the grounds. “We have invested enormous amounts of time and money over the last six months to upgrade the venue and our processes,” Piticco and Ducrou said. Singer and rapper Lizzo will headline Splendour in the Grass, 2023. The festival returns to North Byron Parklands from July 21 to July 24.

The campsite was closed for the first day of the festival with thousands of festival goers stranded in the rain. Revealing the news on Instagram festival organisers said, “Announcing our lineup all at once is so 2020!” adding that the full lineup was coming in a few weeks’ time. The news was announced ahead of the full line-up release which is set to drop soon.
