When Pink began working on her ninth album, she was reeling from her world nearly stopping on its axis. The Grammy-winning singer and her toddler son, ...
“Never Gonna Not Dance Again,” the euphoric Max Martin-produced lead single, sums it up perfectly: “We’re never getting younger, so I’m gonna have some fun.” The bulk of “Trustfall,” though, is made up of softer, more tender moments. / Where you sit with friends and talk about the weather?
Pink shares how her new album, "Trustfall" - her ninth - explores the loss of her father, the challenges of marriage and "the roller coaster of life."
As far as the kids go, I am meticulous and an overthinker [and I observe](https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/parenting/2019/09/08/singer-pink-defends-her-kids-husband-and-other-moms-dont-mess/2167430001/). But (the song) was a direct response to one day I was on the beach with my children and I was in a bathing suit and I think he’s going to be a DJ in Vegas and get in a lot of trouble. (Laughs.) Can you imagine being my husband? I will not be the villain in your story. My priorities are to live an authentic human experience and be completely transparent about it and to love and cuddle with my kids as long as they’ll let me. Everything feels like it requires so much trust and I feel like we’re falling backwards and we don’t know when the ground is coming. I lost my dad (in August 2021) and eight months later I lost someone very, very, very close to me. One of my favorite lines is, “You’ll watch me as I make my mistakes.” The album was a three-year process. As she puts it, the new record is about “the roller coaster of life.”
The singer has been moving away musically from her cartoonish persona but it means this album feels oddly transitional.
Never Gonna Not Dance Again is a disco cousin of Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop the Feeling! It’s a grieving piano ballad that appears to be addressed to her father, who died in 2021. Wesley Schultz from The Lumineers shares lead vocals on Long Way to Go, with moody piano chords and military drums adding to the drama, while the Söderberg sisters from Swedish folk band First Aid Kit deliver pretty harmonies on the acoustic Kids in Love.
During her candid chat with hosts Dermot O'Leary and Josie Gibson, Pink shared that she believes her incoming LP to be her “best” yet. Full story below…
I also have the best collaborators on stsge and off.” I worked on this album for three years and I had a long time to edit and really curate the album. Normally, I’m on this race to get back on the road.
Her multi-platinum repertoire has spanned golden-age R&B, punk-pop riffing, country-tinged ballads and clubby bangers, all powered by her gloriously sweet-spiky ...

She's a fighter, that's for sure. Pugnacious Pink has had public scraps with everyone from Prince William (over blood sports) to Rolling Stone magazine.
The 'there' is heaven - she is singing to someone she has loved and lost. "It's a trust fall, baby." The spiky superstar is one of pop's biggest success stories with her global album sales topping 60 million and 21 UK Top 10 singles.
THE act of living requires a lot of trust these days,” says Pink, explaining the name of her new album.“Getting out of bed in the morning, goin.
“I would tell the teenage me to chill out. “And it’s a long show too. “Willow says she is the only one in her class that doesn’t have a phone. And they are out there waiting to love her.” Tanned and toned, Alecia looks in great shape — which she needs to be for the highly physical shows on her Summer Carnival tour. And they expect me to be there all the time. “I do a lot of therapy, I’m super into it,” she tells me. “I was able to be with my dad in the end when he died. “I was just trying to tell Willow something out loud in front of people so she might hear me. She’s just gonna have to figure it out herself and she’s strong. “Turbulence is a song about anxiety and it’s almost like I’m having a conversation with my kid about it. “Each album is a chapter in my life in this experience I’m having.
Outside of a few gems, the US artist's ninth album tumbles down into a spiral of forgettable dance-pop, throwbacks and oddly chosen collaborations.
P!nk has always chopped and changed; her best albums are usually ones that make a distinctive shift from the one before. The production is lush and bold, melding a charisma-filled brass section with jubilant percussion, layered harmonies and a short but sweet sax solo. “Will you save me a place with all those pearls of wisdom?” she asks. “Yeah I’ll make some mistakes and you’ll watch me as I live them/ Til I’m through, ’til I’m with you.” Just look at last year’s tour, a carnival of flashing lights and giant balloons that culminated each night in the US pop artist somersaulting through the air while suspended on wires. P!nk does best when she makes and breaks her own rules.
Pink, real name Alecia Beth Moore Hart, has come a long way from her humble, R&B-influenced debut album Can't Take Me Home. She's seemingly reinvented herself ...
As well as Stapleton, Pink brings on The Lumineers for the soft and appealing ‘Long Way to G’o and Pink often sings about shots and bars, or sometimes about the freeing lack of them like in her 2008 hit ‘Sober’. Alcohol is a theme that keeps appearing throughout Pink’s work and Trustfall is no different. It’s a softer album, consisting of a lot of ballads and slower beats, but songs like the earworm ‘Runaway’ are there to remind us Pink is all about fun. The album is one of catharsis and dealing with several crises, both personal and global. Lyrically, it’s wonderfully honest and there’s even a playfulness that shines through the sombre tone.

That’s how life goes sometimes, though, and Pink’s appeal comes from her ability to turn the everyday into the stereo-ready. President” have seemed to bubble out of her experiences and ruminations in real time, and the conviction and vocal power with which she delivers them makes them hit harder. Take Trustfall’s opener “When I Get There.” The heartstring-tugging cut, which was written by Amy Wadge and David Hodges, came across Pink’s transom while she was grieving her father, who passed away in August 2021.
Hours after Pink dropped her new album, “Trustfall,” the singer announced fall arena dates that will launch just a week after her summer stadium tour.
with Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo “Trustfall” features collaborations with Chris Stapleton, the Lumineers, and First Aid Kit, as well as songwriters and producers Max Martin, Shellback, Greg Kurstin, Fred Again, Billy Mann and others. Produced by Live Nation, the 14-city tour kicks off on October 12, making stops at arenas across North America, including a date at Madison Square Garden in New York.
TRUSTFALL is still a pop record at heart, though P!NK embraces a singer-songwriter approach in a substantial manner. There are a few piano-driven ballads on the ...
I’m not your bitch, wanna lock me up like an evil witch.” It’s a far cry from, “And I swear you’re just like a pill/ Instead of makin’ me better/ You keep makin’ me ill.” It is catchy, and quite a bop (though it matches the kind of saccharine nature of Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”, as taken from the Trolls soundtrack. “Never Gonna Not Dance Again” is a dance-pop number about looking ahead to golden skies after the storm, and the understanding that dark times will not be permanent. The somber “Turbulence” is precisely about, you guessed it — turbulence — and the kind of anxiety and discomfort when trying to deal with difficult situations: “It’ll take a little longer to get home/ Baby, all we’ve got is time.” Its warmth does not drag it down, but instead reinforces it — closing tracks “Lost Cause,” “Feel Something,” and “Our Song,” however, don’t quite manage to achieve this balance as successfully. Even when she aligned herself deeper within the pop canon with her later albums I’m Not Dead, Funhouse, and The Truth About Love, her songs — along with her signature scratchy vocals — always sounded like a fierce middle finger to the world.
Pink has released her ninth studio album, "Trustfall," and announced a fall 2023 arena tour.

I had time, and I had a lot of really devastating things happen. Lots of options: Pink continued her caption, 'This album means so much to me it’s silly sauce. I have been waiting almost patiently to share my heart and soul with all of you' My son and I got really sick with COVID. I have been waiting almost patiently to share my heart and soul with all of you. 'This album means so much to me it’s silly sauce.
