Get Ready For A Surprise 40 Minute Nintendo Direct (Kotaku)

It's all going down on February 8, maybe even for Tears of the Kingdom fans.

And you can watch The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom livestream—I mean, the Nintendo Direct livestream—straight [from the Nintendo website](https://www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct/02-08-2023/), or [on the company’s Twitch channel](https://www.twitch.tv/nintendo), again, tomorrow, February 8, at 5 p.m. [You can stop zooming into each pixel](https://kotaku.com/zelda-tears-kingdom-trailer-botw2-nintendo-theory-1849534322) of its trailer until one ejects a PDF of the game’s plot while we wait. [Official NFL PRODUCTSOfficial NFL Apple Watch Bands](https://go.linkby.com/FZQCANCY) Though there are also some requests for a Xenoblade 3 DLC, The video game company did not include much information on what to expect, just a baseline. But if you’re like most of Nintendo’s Twitter replies, I’d guess you can’t control yourself as disease spreads over Zelda in particular.

How to watch the Nintendo Direct for February 2023 (GamesHub)

A surprise Nintendo Direct showcase will take place in early February 2023. Here's how to tune into the show, around the world.

The Nintendo Switch lineup of 2023 is looking very bare, and there’s certainly room for some new additions on the gaming calendar. We may also get an appearance from the upcoming Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe, which is set to launch in late February 2023. Notably, this is a traditional Nintendo Direct, and it will feature around 40 minutes of announcements, focussing on games coming to Nintendo Switch in the first half of the year.

[Tears of the Kingdom](https://www.kotaku.com.au/2022/09/the-legend-of-zelda-tears-of-the-kingdom-what-we-know-so-far/) marketing machine is about to begin. Nintendo says it will focus on games launching in the first half of 2023, so strap in: the As we do each and every time Nintendo announces a Direct, we’ve collated all the start times across Australian and New Zealand timezones so you know when to tune in. If that’s true, we could expect to see a clearing of the backlog here.

Gave up hope of Twilight Princess & Windwaker re-releases.I'd love for those ports to appear now, but also I imagine they'll be full-price and maybe Nintendo wants us to save our money for Tears of the Kingdom? I'd take a port of GX, to be honest. Such a different culture to the dude-i-ness of the exbox shows. Go on then, spill the beans - are we really going to see a new F-Zero tonight? What a time to be alive! Arms was beautiful, but alas I think it will be the only one of its kind. It definitely feels like the right way to play the game too. hazywaze says: I love the formal style of the execs. Tonight's the big one - or at least it really should be - in which the veil will be properly lifted from the next big Zelda and we finally learn more about Tears of the Kingdom. I'll be doing a proper goodbye in due course but I wanted to say a fond farewell to everyone here.

Japan's Nintendo Direct Had A Very Nice Surprise (Kotaku)

Not every game announced in one region features in the promotions for another.

[I said at the end of my Shin-Chan blog](https://kotaku.com/shin-chan-my-summer-vacation-boku-no-natsuyasumi-1849504058) that “I can only hope this one sells enough, or at least attracts enough attention, to convince someone to release some of the older games in English as well”, but that applies just as much to new games as well! [the games announced or showcased on a Nintendo Direct are the same in the West as they are in Japan](https://kotaku.com/nintendo-direct-metroid-prime-pikmin-zelda-totk-trailer-1850090239).

This Was A Nintendo Direct For Series Revivals (Kotaku Australia)

The first Nintendo Direct of 2023 was filled with series revivals, as quite a few games woke up from very long naps to make an appearance.

Fantasy Life was released on the Nintendo 3DS in 2012, and it slayed. The original Advance Wars games were released in 2001 and 2003 respectively on Game Boy Advance. All in all, it was a good 40+ minutes for people who were longing to see the return of old, once-lost favourites. At the same time, it was also a Nintendo Direct filled with series revivals as quite a few games woke up from very long naps to make an appearance.
