Fred Again.. secret show in Melbourne tonight sells out in 30 seconds (NME.com)

A secret Fred Again.. show in Melbourne scheduled for tonight has sold-out, just 30 seconds after the DJ announced it earlier today.

[Laneway](https://www.nme.com/en_au/festivals/laneway) festival, where he’ll take to the stage alongside headliners [Haim](https://www.nme.com/en_au/artists/haim), [Joji](https://www.nme.com/en_au/artists/joji) and [Phoebe Bridgers](https://www.nme.com/en_au/artists/phoebe-bridgers). That event was [one of three surprise London gigs](https://www.nme.com/en_au/news/music/skrillex-fred-again-and-four-tet-announce-third-last-minute-london-gig-tonight-3376490) hosted by the trio, having previously played last-minute shows at Brixton Electric and the Electric Ballroom. There is genuinely a secret show happening tonight in the city, though, with fans who were on the waitlist for his Forum show gaining first access. The link for access went live at 11am, and all tickets were gone by 11:01am. then posted whale emojis on his Instagram Stories, voracious fans then decided that meant he was going to play at St Kilda’s Prince of Wales Hotel (get it?).

UK producer Fred Again.. has sold out a surprise secret Melbourne rave in mere seconds which has surely broken some kind of record.

Fred Again..’s fans have been going above and beyond to try and catch a glimpse of the master sequencer in action. They swarmed that pub too even though Fred had stressed he was actually going to check out the Port Phillip penguins — where fans also showed up just to meet their fave. So when word got out on Friday morning that he was putting on a secret show somewhere in Melbourne, fans went absolutely boonta trying to lock in a ticket. I’m more than sure that we’ll be seeing Fred Again.. because a secret warehouse show announced for Friday night sold out in a matter of seconds. Surely there’s a very real possibility the sell-out show has broken some kind of ticket sales record.
