Robinson stepped up and got his second of the game to reduce the deficit further. A ball into the box from the right wing bounced up nicely for second half substitute Callum Robinson to head home at close range, which he did with ease. It became five shortly after, with Gelhardt now the creator for Bamford to get his second. Cardiff thought they had a way back into the game before the interval. This time, Jesse Marschโ€™s side scored first few seconds of the match which set them on a path to ensuring progressing to the fourth round. But the ball just rolls right by him and he cannot control it. Leeds break, Jack Simpson's tackle foruitously breaks for the hsots and Bamford is played in. Robinson loses the ball in midfield. Robinson stroked it down the middle to hand City a rather flattering scoreline in the end. He nodded home, but there was not so much as a cheer from Cardiff fans after it. Cedric Kipre stepped up to play Patrick Bamford offside, but Sang was lax and played him on by two yards. It was attack versus defence. Cardiff, by some miracle, managed to get a corner just before the half-time whistle blew. Rodrigo rounded Jak Alnwick and coolly slotted home to double the lead. And it was a steep uphill task from minute one, literally. Never has a performance summed up a club's situation than this one from Cardiff City. They were at least treated to two late Callum Robinson consolations, but that will do nothing to paper over the gaping cracks.
