Anticipation is rising for the release of the [Part Two](https://screenrant.com/dune-2-movie-sequels-story-plan-risks-good/) [ of Villeneuve's Dune](https://screenrant.com/dune-2-movie-sequels-story-plan-risks-good/), especially since the upcoming project will bring about a major change in the director's outstanding career. The 1984 film and 2000 miniseries adaptations faltered at bringing to life the full story of Dune, so Villeneuve wanted to truly tell the epic story over two lengthy features, marking a departure from his prior filmmaking patterns.
