Cardiff City vs Leeds United

Leeds United begin their 2022/23 Emirates FA Cup campaign away at Cardiff City on Sunday afternoon, 2pm, in a match live on ITV.

The match is live on ITV for supporters who haven’t been able to travel. Other than that, the head coach has plenty of decisions to make on his selection. Given we have no idea who he’s talking about, we’ll have to treat everyone as available beyond Adam Forshaw, Patrick Bamford, Stuart Dallas and Luis Sinisterra. Queens Park Rangers, Arsenal, Crawley Town and West Ham United all put pay to any hopes of a Marcelo Bielsa was not able to turn the recent record on its head either. Remaining cool under pressure, the Wales international then fed Isaak Davies, who was starting his first game of the season, and the striker's shot struck a Leeds leg before fortuitously dropping into Philogene's path. But, thanks to Tom Sang and others, Cardiff weathered the early storm. Cardiff fans were in euphoria, singing, "We're Cardiff City, we're taking the p***."

Leeds boss Jesse Marsch: "The whole first half we were not in sync and not aggressive enough. They have got an abundance of talent to come off the bench. A chipped ball over top from Andy Rinomhota was well controlled by Sheyi Ojo on his chest, before the Cardiff forward fired into the roof of the net to double the advantage. They went in at the break two-goals behind and with work to do. Efforts from Darko Gyabi and Crysencio Summerville came close to opening the scoring, but they were both cleared.
