The 66-year-old tennis legend has been diagnosed with early stages of throat and breast cancer. "The prognosis is good," her agent told NPR.

But she continued to compete in doubles well into the 2000s, winning her 59th and final title in the 2006 U.S. As a teenager, she quickly became a tennis standout, winning her first professional singles title in the U.S. She was soon given a green card and became a U.S. The tumor was removed surgically, and Navratilova underwent a brief course of radiation therapy. Dunlop Improves Comfort On Power-Focused FX Tennis Racket (Forbes)

The goal of the revamped Dunlop FX tennis racket line is to increase comfort while improving the already established power of the frame.

While still relying on the brand's key Flying D logo, the 2023 FX highlights arrow graphics on the frame, meant to indicate the power concentration in the middle of the racket. "The lower RA [flex] with the combination of the improved Power Boost+ Groove and the frame stiffness adjustment allowed for us to increase the comfort of the FX series without losing any power potential," Lloyd says. The FX series also has a unique construction compared to other Dunlop silos, with a wider throat meant to increase racket stability. The frame construction features the carbon fiber taking a new direction in the throat and the head to create a more comfortable playing experience, Lloyd says. Keith Lloyd, Dunlop Sports Americas product manager for tennis rackets, says the Power Boost+ Groove improves on previous versions with a deeper and wider groove to create greater deflection of the frame and strings at impact. To make it happen, Dunlop added a Power Boost+ Groove grommet technology, adjusted the stiffness and updated the frame construction.

Remembering Anthony Richardson: a top coach and “fair dinkum ... (Tennis Australia)

Universally adored coach Anthony Richardson, who shaped the careers of many well-known players, leaves a rich legacy in Australian tennis.

He had an infectious smile, a genuine passion for coaching and a lifelong love for the game of tennis. Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley was equally touched by Richardson’s depth of character, both personally and at a professional level, from his first experiences with the passionate coach. “There’s too many to list but his authenticity, genuineness, kindness, thoughtfulness, loyalty, sense of humour, and positive outlook on life are a few that quickly come to mind,” said Mahony of the Queenslander, who was fondly known as “Richo”. Mark Draper, both a close friend and colleague of Richardson at the NTA, agrees. In recent years, he had a big impact on our female athletes who were transitioning into the pro space,” said Jolley. After a stint as Head Coach at Griffiths University, Richardson returned to Tennis Queensland.
