The goalkeeper is in fine form, having made a string of super saves to secure a win over Liverpool before the World Cup break. 20 mins to KO: While Varane has perhaps been rushed back into the XI slightly ahead of schedule, after playing in a World Cup final just eight days ago, Lisandro Martinez is still absent from the United squad. 5 mins to KO: Anthony Martial, fresh after five weeks off, has a huge chance to make the starting spot as United's No.9 his own and drive this club back to the Champions League in the post-Cristiano Ronaldo era. The Denmark international plays it along the ground to around the penalty spot, where the the Red Devils' No.10 peels away from his man and cuts the ball back across goal. After Awoniyi breaks down the right at the opposite end of the field and feels he was unfairly tugged back, United immediately break up the other end and take a commanding early lead. 29th min: Rashford looks in the mood, and was just on a surging counter forward before being dragged back by Orel Mangala on halfway, with the Forest midfielder picking up a yellow card. From a free-kick, Yates wheels away in celebration after his header, though the final touch looks to have come off Willy Boly. They seemed to be having a competition as to who could produce the perfect party piece, with audacious efforts from Fernandes and Casemiro the pick of the bunch. 33rd min: After a Ryan Yates potshot from distance troubles David De Gea, United respond via Rashford once more, who finds himself on the right wing again and blasts past Renan Lodi - who enjoyed a memorable night here with Atletico Madrid in March - with ease. It's difficult to believe this is the same player who was in such horrendous form last season, to the point where a transfer away was reportedly the most likely outcome. A Brazilian connection makes it 3-0 to United, as Casemiro takes out two defenders with his pass which nicely tees up Fred at the back post, who makes no mistake by cutting across goal with his left boot. Willy Boly had the final touch before the ball hit the net, and the centre-back was correctly adjudged to be in an offside position.

Footage of Davis playing in Australia went viral and led to him moving to Old Trafford, where he was in the same youth team as Rashford.
“I owe it to my parents for spreading my eggs and not just lumping it all down the football path. “It is one per cent of kids who go to academies and then it is one per cent of the one per cent who end up getting contracts. “It was all up in the air and what is it to say I would get one? But it didn’t help the process and it didn’t help me going on to look elsewhere. But no way am I going to say that was the reason it didn’t work out because it wasn’t. “He was on one of the computers in the gym and we had a chat with him,” Davis tells The Athletic. “He was the standout and always has been,” he said. “It isn’t the respect he demands or deserves, but the respect he gives. Instead, he was known as “Rhain from Australia” or “the Australian kid”. “I wouldn’t have said there was a massive gulf, but there was a difference in quality. “I would put it on Saturday morning because we would catch the back end of “Being a nine-year-old, it all happened so fast and you don’t really understand the magnitude of things,” Davis, now 25, tells The Athletic.

Ash Donelon, United photographer, continues to reflect on his favourite images from the season so far.
“However, when I saw him sprint in the opposite direction, my heart sank as my view was obscured by a line of stewards, TV camera operators, and the frame of the goal. Ash says: “Photographing a football match means having to adapt to whatever happens on the pitch. “When Scott McTominay scored in the 93rd minute I wanted to get a shot of him celebrating, however so did the TV Steadicam operator, and he raced in front of my lens. “Fast-forward a few months to the final Europa League group-stage match in San Sebastian, and I was able to get a shot of the two players together, celebrating Alejandro’s first senior goal for the Reds. The downside is that people have to walk in front of my lens to get past, so there’s a constant stream of substitutes warming up, camera operators, and stewards to work around. At Old Trafford, working in the North East and North West corners is great because I’m behind the advertising boards, meaning any stewards have to walk behind me to get past, so they don’t block my view.
