Officials in Iowa City are testing to see if any runoff from the C6-Zero explosion in Marengo contaminated the river from which it draws its water.

The blast and ensuing fire put two workers in the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics burn unit and set off investigations by the Iowa Occupational Health and Safety Administration and the U.S. "Should there be any sort of incident or release in the future, we have a better set of data to compare that against as a reference." 8 explosion are "low" but that results of testing will not be available until the first week of January.
