Statement from White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on ... (The White House)

As President Biden has made clear: antisemitism has no place in America. All Americans should forcefully reject antisemitism – including Holocaust denial.

The President is establishing an inter-agency group led by Domestic Policy Council staff and National Security Council staff to increase and better coordinate U.S. This strategy will raise understanding about antisemitism and the threat it poses to the Jewish community and all Americans, address antisemitic harassment and abuse both online and offline, seek to prevent antisemitic attacks and incidents, and encourage whole-of-society efforts to counter antisemitism and build a more inclusive nation. The President has tasked the inter-agency group, as its first order of business, to develop a national strategy to counter antisemitism.

Can the Government Save America from Antisemitism? (Moment Magazine)

He simply doesn’t have that capacity—even if an apology to the Jewish community is well in place and even when it is clear to all that hosting two avowed antisemites for dinner was a mistake. Sending a clear message that discrimination and hate against the Jewish community do not have a place in 21st-century America can inspire leaders and chart the course for fashioning locally tailored responses to antisemitic threats, as they present themselves. Jewish Republicans could take a leading role ushering the Republican Party into a post-Trump era. If there’s anything America has learned about the former president in the past six years, it’s that “the Donald” never apologizes and never admits to making a mistake. Some have even hinted they’re checking out other options for the party’s presidential candidate. America’s response to the 9/11 terror attacks focused on the lack of interagency coordination to terrorism and improved it significantly. Beyond the formal measures, there is also a broad understanding in the U.S. I’m proud to live openly as a Jew and I’m not afraid. Just before the meeting, Congress sent President Biden a request for essentially the same action. The meeting, which lasted about an hour and half, was, according to participants, intimate and uplifting. Deborah Lipstadt, the State Department’s special envoy on antisemitism, drove home the gravity of the situation by telling participants from Jewish organizations gathered around the table how she can no longer condemn foreign countries as sources of Jew hatred, as some of her predecessors have done in the past. Last Wednesday, the Biden administration chose this venue for its first-ever roundtable on antisemitism, led by Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.

We even admit to the thought several decades ago, when antisemitism began to rise in Europe, that it would never happen in the U.S. Since the Times was owned by the Jewish Ochs family and the Free Press had a Jewish man in a prominent newsroom role, such instances were unlikely to be hidden. Young people who grew up locally in the post-WWII era were educated on the Holocaust and other atrocities committed on Jews in Eastern Europe and couldn't imagine another rise of something so unthinkable. We invite people in all faiths and cultures to join the fight against antisemitism." "Violence against Jews in the United State is happening almost daily; in Chattanooga, more recent antisemitism incidents include fliers near UTC's campus and on church property. And not even after perhaps the most antisemitic attack on local Jews in the last century.

How Christians Can Support the Jewish Community as Antisemitism ... (RELEVANT Magazine)

Antisemitism, defined as "hostility toward or discrimination against Jews as a religious, ethnic or racial group," has regained momentum in the 21st.

We have the opportunity to step into the flow of redemption and bring hope and healing. These experiences enabled us to walk in the shoes of the people who feel threatened and unsafe to be Jewish in America. We learn by studying our past and by building relationships with the Jewish community in the present. Serene Hudson is the Vice President of Israel Engagement at Passages, leading efforts to increase awareness regarding antisemitism and support for Jewish communities through education and advocacy initiatives. We had a discussion with the Holocaust Center about the realities of Christian antisemitism throughout our history, and we heard the facilitator’s gentle yet forthright answers to participants’ questions. Anti-Jewish sentiment can be seen in the writings and teachings of some of [the Church Fathers,](https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/article/antisemitism-in-history-from-the-early-church-to-1400) and by the medieval period it was [mainstream](https://www.britannica.com/topic/anti-Semitism/Anti-Semitism-in-medieval-Europe) to denigrate and attack the Jews of Christian Europe. Education on the true nature and extent of antisemitism can help Christians stop the cycle of hate and build relationships with our Jewish neighbors. Because education begins with listening well, we were present with those who survived and the leaders who are helping the community to recover from the trauma caused by this violent attack. Recently, the Director of the FBI [flagged](https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2022/11/10/fbi-director-wray-antisemitism-remains-pervasive-fact/8322469001/) antisemitism as “a pervasive and present fact,” and promised to combat the [many](https://www.yahoo.com/now/alarming-rise-antisemitism-united-states-095211675.html) recent threats of violent extremism. It is a journey of recognizing that prejudice and arrogance against Jewish people is antithetical to the biblical reflection of God’s faithfulness to them. This understanding can empower a renewed commitment to be inclusive of all people as recipients of Christian compassion, with careful attention toward not excluding the Jewish people. [defined](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/anti-Semitism) as “hostility toward or discrimination against Jews as a religious, ethnic or racial group,” has regained momentum in the 21st century.
