Tyler said the service was important to "commemorate the people who passed away fighting" and Alexsa added, "and the people who fought for our country". She attended with two of her students, Year 6 leaders Alexsa and Tyler. I am passionate about story-telling and I love nothing more than telling the stories of local people and what makes them tick. Fourteen schools were represented at the ceremony in Windsor. A Catafalque Party Mount was performed by 336 Squadron Australian Air Force Cadets Richmond. "It is very pleasing and very well received by the community to witness our schools play active roles in commemorating such a significant day in Australian history and indeed in the world," Mr Walker said.

Penrith pauses for Remembrance Day – The Western Weekender (The Western Weekender)

Members of the Penrith community came together this morning to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives in war and conflict.

Outside of the service, the Penrith community continued to pay their respects, with musicians from High Street Music playing the ‘Last Post’ out the front of the store, and a commemorative service held by the St Marys RSL Sub-Branch, honouring the 100-year-old war memorial pavilion in Victoria Park. Members of the Penrith community came together this morning to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives in war and conflict.
