Despite Celtic coming to terms with being knocked out of the UEFA Champions League group stage, there is still plenty for them to play for.

Obviously, this feels unlikely at the moment. This is currently the ‘easiest’ way to finish third. The whole thing will be scuppered if we do not achieve victory at home to Shakhtar Donetsk tonight.

Celtic midfielder Aaron Mooy deserves credit for turning an error he made against Hearts into a positive for the rest of the game.

It really was an excellent performance by Mooy, and by the end of the game his missed opportunity had been forgotten about. That miss could have affected his mindset, but it didn’t, as Mooy shrugged it off and was involved in the three goals that Celtic scored in the remainder of the game. Celtic midfielder Aaron Mooy has featured for the Hoops perhaps more than people would have expected this season.

Ange Postecoglou admits it will take time and patience for Celtic to stand with the “big clubs of Europe”.

“At this level you have to earn everything you get and that’s part of the process.” “We’ve got to make sure we win the (Scottish) league again and get back to this level and hopefully we make progress and make more of an impact.” “Our role and our main responsibility is to keep coming back to this (Champions League) competition every year and growing every year and making sure that, as a football club, we stand amongst the big clubs of Europe, and that takes a little bit of time,” Celtic manager Postecoglou said.
