Adidas' Kanye West deal under fire as antisemites rush to support him (The Washington Post)

The German sportswear giant aligned with the rapper and fashion designer's Yeezy brand is fast becoming his final remaining business partner.

Gap, however, continues to feature “Yeezy” products for sale on its website and hyped the launch of a new hoodie on Friday in an email marketing push. Alexander Vindman](https://twitter.com/AVindman/status/1584595126151618562), a former White House national security official and a key figure in the first impeach of President Donald Trump, tweeted, “I’m a little shocked that [@adidas](https://twitter.com/adidas) has still made no statement denouncing hate and anti-semitism, let alone firing [@kanyewest](https://twitter.com/kanyewest)’s ass. Gap and Ye, which had plans to open stand-alone “Yeezy” stores, split in September, a division long sought by the artist and one that predated his most recent behavior. Silence and inaction are not an option.” Swartz, the Morningstar analyst, believes Adidas is sticking to this strategy but warns that it won’t work this time. This is a moment in history where the stakes are high and being open about our values, and living them, is essential. “The fact that Adidas has not made that simple point is shocking when one considers Adidas’s history as a company that once outfitted the Hitler Youth.” Over the weekend, footage resurfaced on Twitter of an interview taped in early October in which Ye gloated, “I can say antisemitic things and Adidas can’t drop me. On Monday, the talent agency CAA dropped Ye as a client, citing his antisemitic rants, while Hollywood financier and producer MRC shelved a documentary on him that already was in production. The burger store also abandoned menu names playing on Ye song titles, including a fried chicken burger called Golddigger, a breakfast burger named Good Morning, and a Cheezus burger named after album Yeezus. The Federal Court action follows legal letters Ye’s lawyers said they sent to Elkhouri in February and June asking him to stop referencing the rapper and his branding in his business operations. In a 43-page statement of claim filed on Friday, Ye’s legal team took particular issue with the use of the business name College Dropout Burgers, noting The College Dropout was the title of their client’s debut album, released in 2004. A legal fight between a Melbourne burger shop and US rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has taken a bitter turn, with lawyers claiming College Dropout Burgers continues to have food on its menu named after the artist’s 2004 album.

MRC cancels Kanye West documentary after antisemitic remarks (Los Angeles Times)

MRC Entertainment has shelved a documentary about Kanye 'Ye' West after the rapper made a series of antisemitic remarks in recent weeks.

As leaders of this company (a Jew, a Muslim, and a Christian), we feel duty bound to say to all of you this is a pernicious, terrible use of false logic.
