“It’s near the train station and we’ve made public transport free, so it will create a festival atmosphere in the city,” Mr McGowan said. The reimagined festival will spill out onto Wellington Street, which will be closed for traffic, and run from 10am to 4pm. Nicodemou also made a visit to Perth Children’s Hospital on Saturday morning and said it was always her favourite part of Telethon weekend. “I’m here because of the special medical teams and researchers that have helped me,” she said.
