The star was released in July 2021, but his exciting reintroduction Saturday adds more intrigue and anticipation to WWE.
That is the type of finish that makes complete sense in MMA, but it is a reach in pro wrestling, especially considering it was only moments later that Morgan was in the ring smiling as Rousey walked off with the belt. This was also the most surprising finish of the night. It was an entertaining match, and it is refreshing to see the renewed emphasis on the importance of the Intercontinental title, though it failed to meet the masterpiece both men created last month in He ended the match by making Rollins tap, and it appeared the show was set to go off the air until the lights went out, leading to the return of Wyatt. She didn’t quit or tap, but the referee awarded the match to Ronda Rousey when Morgan could not respond on whether she could still continue. In addition to the surprise, WWE dusted off seemingly all the quintessential gimmicked matches at Extreme Rules.
As noted...former two-time WWE Universal champion Bray Wyatt made his return at last night's Extreme Rules premium live event from Philadelphia, paying.
I missed you too. All of you One fan shared a video of their daughter going absolutely nuts for Wyatt’s return, which he responded to on Twitter.
"The Fiend" Bray Wyatt is officially back in WWE. Let's review who Wyatt should feud with during his big comeback to World Wrestling Entertainment!
Roman Reigns is the top star in WWE right now, therefore if the company is putting a lot of effort into Bray Wyatt then a feud with him could make sense on paper. He is someone that fans view as a main event star, and considering the fact that he has already failed to dethrone Roman Reigns, WWE could be looking for a big rival to put him against. Wyatt competing against McIntyre is a main event storyline that fans would treat accordingly, and if done right it could help to push both men. Braun Strowman is someone that Bray Wyatt has got a lot of history with dating back to their time in The Wyatt Family. However, that is something that fans would still be interested in seeing due to the star power involved with both men. With Strowman having also just returned, right now WWE wants to focus on pushing both of them, therefore it's a feud to avoid. Seeing Wyatt's usual mindgames against the Beast would be a fresh angle for him, and it's one that could be very interesting for them. Inside the ring, Wyatt always worked best with wrestlers that were similar in style to Gargano, as his matched with Daniel Bryan showcased. On top of that, there are few better sellers in the company than him, and that could help to make Wyatt look good. He's a name that fans will be very familiar with and is one of the most creative people in the business overall. However, there are certain wrestlers and gimmicks that he would undoubtedly work better with than some, and that is why WWE has to be careful with who they have him feud with when he becomes an active competitor again The angle put Wyatt over, but it ruined Rollins' character at that time, and fans still have a bitter taste in their mouths about it.

F4W editor Bryan Rose shares thoughts on everything that went down at Extreme Rules.
I was hoping for a better show than what we got out of Extreme Rules, but there was definitely some good stuff throughout the show, specifically in the Balor vs. Shave ten minutes out of this match, which involved a lot of brawling around the arena, and it would have been better. The baseball bat spots just didn’t work and the finish was weird with Liv laughing as she passed out via a weird submission that I didn’t think came across well in execution. Kross wasn’t someone I had in mind when it came to bringing back people, and this match didn’t really sway me otherwise. Morgan sending Rousey through a table was a cool spot, but that about ends the positives. I don’t remember any part of the match where he got involved, only at the end where he raised Riddle’s hand. Karrion Kross probably shouldn’t have lost his first match back in the company. Bayley and Bianca Belair had a good ladder match that had some cool spots. I guess we could build towards a Survivor Series WarGames match with Bayley and Belair captaining teams, but we’ll see. Going into Extreme Rules, I thought this had a chance to be a very strong show. It began with real-life counterparts of The Firefly Funhouse puppets appearing in the crowd. But at the same time, it wasn’t like I was actively rooting for his return, either.
Bray Wyatt made his highly-anticipated return to WWE, and it looks like Wyatt also took advantage of the moment to honor the late Brodie Lee.
[WWE](https://tjrwrestling.net/every-wwe-pay-per-view-review/), Brodie Lee was a key member of the Wyatt Family through its multiple reinventions between 2012-2019. Also, the blaring blue light that came out of Wyatt’s door had a very familiar feel to Brodie Lee’s entrance when he was in [AEW](https://tjrwrestling.net/reviews/aew-ppv/). After a few seconds, the figure would take off the mask, revealing that it was Bray Wyatt, officially confirming that he was the one behind “White Rabbit.” When that happened, the audience erupted, from what some have said, louder than NFL and NBA games. The audience erupted, realizing it was the moment that Wyatt was going to reveal himself. In fact, it got to such a boiling point with the “White Rabbit” clues that many viewed it as a ‘Wyatt or Bust’ situation. When the person holding the lantern revealed themselves, it was a masked figure looking around at the fans.
