The Perth-raised 7NEWS sports presenter and her partner, recently retired Richmond Tigers champion Kane Lambert, have an exciting announcement.

The couple, who are understood to have met through Perth Love Island Australia star Tayla Damir, revealed in May that they were in the process of building their dream home, with Gelmi sharing a series of photos of the construction. Gelmi, the granddaughter of Olympic legend Herb Elliott and a star in her own right having hosted the Tokyo Olympics and Winter Olympics, and Lambert were revealed as a couple in early 2021 after being spotted together following her move from Sydney to Melbourne. The Perth-raised 7NEWS sports presenter and her partner, recently retired Richmond Tigers champion Kane Lambert, are set to become parents in early 2023.
