Maccabi Ra'anana avoided relegation with a 5-1 record in the Playouts to finish at 17-17 for the 2021-22 season. Last season, Maccabi Ra'anana finished ninth out of 15 teams in the Israeli National League with a 12-16 record. In addition to Maccabi Ra'anana, the Adelaide 36ers of the Australian NBL will make their way to the States for two exhibition contests. F

“When I first got in the league, (New Orleans) had a bit of a bug about it around the NBA,” Nance said. CJ is the President of the NBA (Players Association). Everybody knows that Griff (David Griffin) is top-tier as well, and the people he has around him. Larry has been to the NBA Finals (with Cleveland in 2018). “Guys didn’t really want to play (in New Orleans). While wins and losses will be easy to measure, the New Orleans franchise now seems to have made significant progress in another, less tangible area, according to Nance. They were bringing some young guys along, but then caught fire at the end (of the season). They’ve been in the league a long time. Between CJ, myself, (Temple), some of the older guys on this team (there was an emphasis on) team dinners, spending more time around each other, making sure the off-court chemistry is as good as the on. As the 29-year-old Nance points out, helping to balance that substantial amount of youth are seasoned Pelicans including guard CJ McCollum (31), center Jonas Valanciunas (30) and Garrett Temple (36). The turnaround in results was obvious. Although many of Nance’s former Lakers teammates went on to accomplish big things individually at other NBA stops – Randle, Russell and Ingram made All-Star appearances for New York, Brooklyn and New Orleans, respectively, while Clarkson won Sixth Man of the Year for Utah – as a Lakers core they never achieved success.

“The first year I did the shoot, I shot the guys coming out of smoke with the smoke matching the color of their team,” Babineau said. For this year’s shoot, Babineau had the idea to use double and triple exposures of the players mocking game action. “We’ve now got a blueprint for how we’re going to attack the event,” Amati said. Now each year I hear the same people asking me, ‘oh what is Babs going to do this year’ or ‘how is he going to top it next year?'” The first being that the shoot and the Rookie Transition Program are now part of Summer League in Las Vegas. Amati recalls the first ever shoot in ‘94 during Grant Hill’s and Jason Kidd’s rookie years, which started because the NBA photo team wanted to get photos of players in their NBA uniforms prior to team media days in the fall. Amati said he’ll come to him every year with new and unique ideas on how to capture the players. According to Amati, there has been a lot of change from the first shoot in ’94 to this year’s in 2022. “The first ever shoot was in Florida,” Amati said. “Panini does something called ‘Next Day Cards’ where they take photos of all 40 rookies early in the day, and then creates the cards for the rookies to sign. He calls himself the “air-traffic controller” between players, personnel and the various stations at the shoot. They join a long roster of newcomers who have participated in the shoot since its start in 1994.

19 when they host the Philadelphia 76ers. On Friday morning, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Griffin has agreed to a "fully guaranteed" contract with the Boston Celtics. At one point, Blake Griffin was a borderline superstar who was one of the most popular players in the entire NBA.

While he made massive strides to become a solid perimeter shooter, it's not a skill that should be the focal point of his game. The man who once dunked over a car in a dunk contest You know it's tough when you go through a rough stretch of play and the world kind of caves in on you a little bit. Nets coach Steve Nash played Griffin only 25 minutes in Brooklyn's first-round series against the Celtics last season and benched him entirely for two games. He averaged a career-low 6.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game while shooting 42.5 percent from the floor in 2021-22. I really admire him for being positive through this and keeping himself ready so if his opportunity comes back, he can have an impact."

"Like this for Blake, spot up on the perimeter/can move the ball out of the short roll for a team historically good on defense but sometimes stagnant on offense. As good of a spot as any," another added. The NBA world took to Twitter to react to this news.
Griffin, who played for the Brooklyn Nets last season, could help fill in at center for the injured Robert Williams.
Speculation is nonstop about when the NBA will choose to expand. Griffin, 33, is entering his 13th NBA season and was a free agent this offseason after spending last season with the Nets. Luke Kornet, a 7-foot-2 center who is in camp on a non-guaranteed deal, is expected to make the team in the wake of those injuries and was even seen practicing with the starting unit earlier this week. The NBA makes its latest brief return to the Emerald City on Monday night when the Los Angeles Clippers face the Portland Trail Blazers in a preseason game. While everyone is familiar with the big-name fantasy stars like Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry, what about the lesser-known ...
He's worth taking a look at in the later rounds of your fantasy draft. Coming off of an All-Rookie First Team season and a strong showing for Germany at EuroBasket, a breakout season could be on the way. Even if he doesn't start, he'll be the first player off the bench and will receive plenty of playing time to make an impact in fantasy. Melton should be available late in fantasy drafts and is worth a flyer. He's someone to follow on the waiver wire early in the year. He's worth a look at the end of fantasy drafts because he can rack up defensive counting stats. He may not be worth a draft pick, but he's someone to watch on the waiver wire if Miami is down a few players on any given night. With Kyle Anderson moving on to the Timberwolves, Williams could fill that jack-of-all-trades role, and he's worth monitoring on the waiver wire in fantasy. If he assumes the starting point guard role in Chicago, he'll be well worth a mid-to-late-round draft pick in all fantasy formats. Hyland was one of my favorite rookie sleepers last season and he'll be poised to take on an even bigger role this year with Monte Morris moving on to the Wizards. Now that he'll take over as the team's starting power forward, he should become a household name in Fantasy Basketball circles. With per 36 averages of 14.2 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 1.1 steals, he's worth a flyer at the end of fantasy drafts.
Let's start with the players who were in the running, but ultimately missed out. Honorable mentions: Russell Westbrook, Terry Rozier, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, ...
He may or may not start, but Wall’s speed, playmaking chops, and impressive resumé will earn him a key role and the chance to prove his mettle at age 32. We now make the effort now to project the top 125 NBA players next season. He’s the quintessential 3-and-D wing. With Dejounte Murray out the door, the Spurs’ rebuild can begin in earnest. The question is how well can he defend? Training camp is underway, which means preseason and ultimately the regular season are right around the corner.

“One of the things that we are going to start focusing on and have to do a better job of is to tell the stories of the local Japanese stars,” Tatum acknowledged. “We’ve run a number of experiences and clinics this week, and we’re looking to do more of that now that we’re emerging from the pandemic.” And so we look forward to working with organizations in Japan, building on what we’ve done this week, to focus on youth and growing the game of basketball.” On the point of delivering events to fans, Sheikh said that the NBA is “bringing the live game experience here as well. “The way we’re approaching it is we bring the NBA to Japan through our media partner Rakuten, and through their streaming service,” Sheikh said. “Youth is very important to the NBA,” Sheikh said. Regarding the current NBA Japan Games specifically, he emphasized that “That’s what this weekend is all about, because half of fandom in Japan especially is through events, through those experiences. Taking these two non-scientific data points together, my question for Tatum and Sheikh centered around the implication that, not only were the majority of Japanese people not getting the news of the NBA’s activities in Japan, but also that without having TV as a delivery medium for that message, the pathway for the NBA to spread its popularity beyond its core fanbase seemed unclear. In 2017, the NBA formed a partnership with Rakuten that made the Japanese company the exclusive online distributor of NBA games, which are now only available here as a paid streaming service through the NBA Rakuten app. And through that return and other endeavors, the league hopes to reinvigorate efforts to further grow both the sport of basketball more broadly, and the NBA itself. According to data from YouGov, for example, a full 63% of people in the Philippines are interested in the NBA, by far the highest percentage of any country outside the United States, and more than double the 30% of interest in Canada, which has had one or more teams in the league since 1995. NBA basketball has had a presence in Japan for 34 years, with games and programming having been viewable on television, or more recently the Internet, since the 1988-89 season.
The 2023 NBA Draft is expected to be one of the strongest crop of classes the Association's talent evaluators have seen in five-plus years.
Although the 2023 NBA Draft is over eight months away, Wembanyama and Henderson are making it a must-watch event next week in Sin City. The appeal is certainly there for the 18-year-old guard, who many believed would have been the No. This is also the perfect opportunity for Henderson to prove he’s on the same tier as Wembanyama, which some don’t view at the moment. Every organization will send their scouting staff to get an up-close look at these two prospects, and this could be the only time NBA staffs see who many are believing is easily the best international player since Luka Doncic in 2018. Scoot Henderson, an explosive point guard who left high school early to play for the G League Ignite, falls in right behind him in the No. There’s no wonder why many fanbases are hoping their team enters the “tank race” to secure one of the top talents.

"Just his understanding of spacing and defensive communication, being in the right place. I couldn’t be happier for James". "It’s also my first game ever before a crowd. It’s been like one-and-a-half, two years so just being out there feels good", Wiseman said. "Nah jokes aside I’m really glad to have finally played in front of the Japanese fans. 2 draft pick who had a game-high 20 points to go with nine boards.
