Geelong winger Isaac Smith has become the oldest winner of the coveted Norm Smith medal for best-afield in an AFL Grand Final.

"It certainly doesn't fit comfortably with me. "The only time I got nerves this year was I got stuck in the lift for 15 minutes at the hotel this morning," he said. "I made a mad dash to Albury and spent 24 hours with him," he said.
