Amini's father rejected this, stating she had no health problems and that she suffered bruises to her legs in custody and reiterated that he held the police responsible for her death. Protests continued throughout Iran for the fifth night in a row over the death of a young woman said to have been severely beaten by the morality police tasked with enforcing a strict dress code for women.
