Laneway Festival 2023

The event is returning to Auckland for the first time in three years.

The Beths Chaos In The CBD The Beths, Haim, Phoebe Bridgers and Finneas have been announced for the return of Auckland's Laneway Festival in 2023.

Jerome’s Laneway Festival took place in 2020](https://www.nme.com/en_au/festivals/laneway/laneway-festival-2020-dates-cities-lineup-tickets-2594207) with a star-studded line-up which included pop heavyweights [Charli XCX](https://www.nme.com/en_au/reviews/live/charli-xcx-live-at-laneway-sydney-2020-2604792) and [The 1975](https://www.nme.com/en_au/reviews/the-1975-laneway-sydney-2020-2604853) ( [who pulled out of the Brisbane date](https://www.nme.com/en_au/news/music/the-1975-cancel-laneway-brisbane-headline-set-due-to-matty-healys-recent-health-struggles-2603952) due to frontman Matty Healy’s health issues) as headliners. Though they hinted at “something special in 2021”, no major events materialised. The festival’s 2023 edition will be its first following the relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions in Australia. The touring festival begins its trek in Auckland’s Albert Park on January 30, before starting its Australian run at the Brisbane Showgrounds on February 4. The festival will then make stops in Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne before finishing its run in Perth’s Wellington Square on February 12. Laneway Festival will return to Australian cities next year for the first time since 2020, with a lineup stacked with local and international Indie favourites.
