Selwood Wins Jim Stynes Community Leadership Award (Geelong Cats)

Selwood's tireless community work has been rewarded at Sunday night's Brownlow Medal count.

In addition Selwood is a champion for inclusion and played a key role in launching the AFL Barwon region Access All-Abilities Auskick Clinics last November. Selwood contributed over 20 hours of official community commitments delivery the clubโ€™s GHMBA Health Heroes program and embraced his role as a lead ambassador. From the beginning of his career, 16 years ago, Selwood prioritized showing up for his community and has not stopped since.

He's also helped to deliver the Cats' GMHBA Health Heroes program into local schools, and has promoted inclusive footy through launching the AFL Barwon region Access All-Abilities Auskick clinics last year. Selwood was selected as the winner of the 2022 Jim Stynes Award ahead of fellow finalists Harry Cunningham (Sydney), Dylan Moore (Hawthorn) and Adam Saad (Carlton), who were also acknowledged and praised for their commitment to the community.
