However, I’m also hearing Tuesday’s Direct will air in the early morning PDT (US time). With Tokyo Games Show starting on Thursday, we’d expect the Nintendo Direct to happen before then, which means that an announcement tonight for a Direct late tomorrow night does seem likely, but we’ll have to wait and see.

When To Watch The September 2022 Nintendo Direct In Australian ... (Kotaku Australia)

The rumoured Nintendo Direct of September 2022 has been confirmed to go ahead as planned, so here's when AU/NZ folks can tune in.

Then there’s also the possibility of a Metroid Prime 4 announcement, which has been popping up in Nintendo’s financial reports for a long while now. However, I question whether they’re going to go with straight ports of the originals or the WiiU remasters. The biggest and most juicy ‘leak’ definitely has to be the potential news of Tuesday, September 13th As mentioned prior, the rumour mill has been functioning at a level only describable as ‘Yowza Wowza’. While the UK has decided that they will not livestream the Nintendo Direct tomorrow

Become a supporter of Eurogamer and you can view the site completely ad-free, as well as gaining exclusive access to articles, podcasts and conversations that will bring you closer to the team, the stories, and the games we all love. What a delight it'd be to have this on the Switch - and dare we dream for news of Project RS3 too to boot? Treasure's been teasing a comeback for a short while, and it doesn't take too much internet sleuthing to discover exactly what shape that will take - a fresh outing for Radiant Silvergun, the studio's delightfully tricksy shooting game that debuted on Sega's ST-V and Saturn hardware, and arguably one of its finest games. [making its way to PlayStation consoles at the end of the September](https://www.eurogamer.net/everything-announced-in-sonys-playstation-state-of-play-1) it seems almost inevitable that Tunic will get a Switch port - so why not make my autumn dreams come true and let me solve some of the best puzzles in gaming on the go? With at least a year of BOTW2 expansion content likely planned, this is the last moment in some time Nintendo can monetise these fan-favourite games - and there's certainly an appetite as we all wait for Breath of the Wild's next chapter. It was the sort of oddity Nintendo was into at the time - a la Pac-Man Versus, which was brilliant.

It Takes Two is coming to Nintendo Switch is a shockingly blurry port. A number of games coming to Nintendo Switch were shown off in quick succession. Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil VII and Resident Evil 3 are also coming to the cloud for Nintendo Switch later this year. Just Dance 2023 Edition is set to feature live-service elements, where the game will be updated throughout its life and will feature a more application-like user interface. Master Detective Archives: Raincode is the title and it's coming Spring 2023. It's a classic JRPG where players must descend the tower of salvation to save the world. Resident Evil: Village is coming to Nintendo Switch through the cloud. Not much was shown in the trailer itself outside of Link jumping off of a floating platform, climbing trees, and soaring through the sky. Bayonetta 3 received a new trailer (along with an official release date), Pikmin 4 got a brief tease, and most importantly, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was officially given a title with a release date set for May 12, 2023.

Shigeru Miyamoto Accidentally Trolled Everyone During The Big ... (Kotaku)

Tuesday's Nintendo Direct was a much-hyped affair, with a whopping 40 minutes dedicated to the Japanese company's portable console and its games.

Everyone started holding their breath for the possibility of maybe hearing Chris Pratt do an Italian accent, and instead they heard about a franchise that has been on life support for years and was never that popular to begin with. The dude has always been a little offbeat, which is exactly what’s equipped him to design some of the most memorable games of all time. That, and Pikmin has always been close to the man’s heart. The silver lining here though is that Miyamoto did indeed have some actual news to share: Pikmin 4 is coming in 2023. And it kind of makes sense: Thanks to the way the Direct was constructed, his appearance almost felt like a fake-out. Franchises like Zelda, Metroid, and Super Mario are all older than that, but he would never remind people that Nintendo is still working on them, that would be absurd. [Miyamoto somehow said that it was “nearing completion” seven entire years ago](https://www.kotaku.com.au/2015/09/nintendo-announces-pikmin-4-in-the-weirdest-way/). “This has always been what interested and excited me about the medium: not perfecting the old but discovering the new.” The thing is, even if you weren’t expecting news about, say, a new Nintendo Switch model or BotW 2, for whatever reason, for a brief moment it seemed like Miyamoto had something big to say. He introduced the segment by telling people the Pikmin series is 20 years old, but the company is “still” working on it. Most people kept their expectations somewhat in check for this, because Nintendo said that the event would largely focus on products coming out this holiday season. Lately he’s been focused on theme parks because it makes him feel like he’s doing something new again, and it’s just familiar enough to designing video games to spark excitement.

Talking Point: What Did You Think Of The September 2022 Nintendo ... (Nintendo Life)

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom! Fire Emblem Engage! Pikmin 4! - Well, that was one heck of a Nintendo Direct, wasn't it? Whil...

[Yes, really](https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2022/09/pikmin-4-is-set-for-a-2023-release-following-years-of-speculation). That [box art](https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2022/09/heres-a-look-at-the-stunning-box-art-for-zelda-tears-of-the-kingdom)? [Rune Factory 3](games/nintendo-switch/rune_factory_3_special) and [Tales of Symphonia](games/gamecube/tales_of_symphonia) — will be getting remastered for the Switch next year, and HD-2D fans will take to the road with Octopath Traveler 2. [a brand new mainline entry](https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2022/09/fire-emblem-engage-unites-new-and-returning-characters-out-next-january) as soon as January 2023 with [Fire Emblem Engage](games/nintendo-switch/fire_emblem_engage), which was [actually leaked earlier this year](https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2022/06/rumour-potential-screenshots-from-a-new-finished-fire-emblem-surface-online) And [Pikmin 4](games/nintendo-switch/pikmin_4) is alive. [The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom](games/nintendo-switch/legend_of_zelda_tears_of_the_kingdom). While it perhaps wasn't the massive Zelda blowout we were all expecting, Nintendo had no shortage of first-party reveals and exclusives, amidst some big Indies and multiplatform releases.

Nintendo Direct was dominated by farming simulation games (Polygon)

Tuesday's Nintendo Direct was heavy on one genre: The role-playing farming life simulator. There's Harvestella, Story of Seasons, Fae Farm, and Rune Factory ...

Story of Seasons, on the other hand, is a classic that’s — yes — focused on farming, but puts a ton of emphasis on relationship building and family life. But I couldn’t disagree more — each of these games has a really interesting spin on the genre. Before we turned to tending-and-befriending in New Horizons as the pandemic separated us, people were enjoying the chill repetition of everyday farm life in [Stardew Valley](https://www.polygon.com/game/stardew-valley/38933) and others. "In Legend of Zelda Tears Of the Kingdom, you'll grow your own crops, befriend the locals, and wait... Stardew Valley built on that, and now we’re entering a new era — farming sims appear to be taking over once again, and the genre’s fans are thrilled. Nintendo is making it absolutely clear that it’s time to leave the city and tend to our crops.

Shigeru Miyamoto Accidentally Trolled Everyone During The Big ... (Kotaku Australia)

Have you heard [about that good Pikmin-like on Game Pass](https://www.kotaku.com.au/2022/09/your-next-game-pass-obsession-is-a-great-pikmin-like/)? [Miyamoto somehow said that it was “nearing completion” seven entire years ago](https://www.kotaku.com.au/2015/09/nintendo-announces-pikmin-4-in-the-weirdest-way/). Franchises like Zelda, Metroid, and Super Mario are all older than that, but he would never remind people that Nintendo is still working on them, that would be absurd. Except…all he said was that they were still working on the finishing touches for both projects. He introduced the segment by telling people the Pikmin series is 20 years old, but the company is “still” working on it. “This has always been what interested and excited me about the medium: not perfecting the old but discovering the new.” He started off remarking that he had a few things to share, “including some news.” Immediately after this, Miyamoto started talking about the Chris Pratt Mario movie and the Super Nintendo World theme park. Most people kept their expectations somewhat in check for this, because Nintendo said that the event would largely focus on products coming out this holiday season.
