Appearing at [D23](https://movieweb.com/tag/d23/), Larson was asked by [Variety](https://twitter.com/Variety) about her future as the Marvel superhero, with Larson making a dry reference to the online abuse she has suffered since joining the franchise back in 2019. Brie Larson led her own adventure, Captain Marvel, in 2019, which introduces the MCU to the beloved Marvel character after she is separated from her team of Kree warriors and is stranded on Earth. While some Marvel fans no doubt had genuine reasons for wishing the character had been played by another actress, many of the criticisms were leveled at Larson unjustifiably, with some even complaining that she had not smiled enough during the brief footage shown in the movie’s first trailer. Here's hoping that Brie Larson hears that many fans do indeed want her to do it again.
