What did Nostradamus predict for 2022? Ukraine invasion, soaring ... (AS English)

According to the book 'Les Prophéties', Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine and events after the death of the British monarch may have been foreseen.

Clearly what he was referring to in the sixteenth century was the end of the British monarchy altogether, which would be the second time that this has happened. “The sudden death of the first, will see a change and will put another into his kingdom,” cannot yet be clearly attributed to any event this year. [Charles’ then wife](https://en.as.com/latest_news/how-old-is-prince-charles-the-prince-of-wales-heir-to-the-british-throne-n/), gave birth to William (the first of the [Queen’s three grandchildren](https://en.as.com/latest_news/who-are-the-children-of-queen-elizabeth-ii-and-prince-philip-of-edinburgh-n/)). [Prince William](https://en.as.com/latest_news/who-are-william-and-henry-of-england-the-sons-of-charles-and-diana-of-wales-n/) is readied to take over from his father Charles, [who is already in his latter years](https://en.as.com/latest_news/who-have-been-the-oldest-kings-and-queens-to-be-crowned-n/), potentially quite soon. “At the end of the war, the great powers change. and you may want to check out the final example below, although hardly a death that could be classed as ‘surprising’. To change the country’s Kingdom and see it grow no more.” They are four-line poems written in enigmatic terms that were intended to announce the events of the near future in France and throughout Europe. Academic sources are less convinced with the notion that Nostradamus had any genuine supernatural prophetic abilities and argue that any links are the result of misinterpretations or mistranslations (which have sometimes been done deliberately). “For 40 years the rainbow will not be seen; for 40 years it will be seen every day; dry land will become more arid; and there will be great floods,” he conjectured. Does that stop us from enjoying them and relating them to current events? The ‘darkness’ is, they say, a handy vagueness that means the predictions could be applied to virtually anything, and are useless for determining whether their author had any real prophetic powers.
