It meant the Dockers were unable to take advantage of the undersized Howe against Rory Lobb, with Lachie Schultz (two goals and one assist) the most dangerous forward in the first half. Elliott's busyness meant Ryan was also limited in how much drive he could provide from defence, contributing to the Dockers' stagnant ball movement down the field.
