I expect some lead changes, and though the Green Bay defense is expected to be improved this year, they surrendered the 11th- most DFS points to opposing QBs in 2021. Jefferson's QB is in the value tier, so consider the pair. Mahomes is the highest-priced QB on the slate, and he's also playing in the game with the highest implied total of the week on SISB (54). a Jets team that surrendered the fourth most passing yards, the fourth most rushing yards and the most rushing touchdowns to opposing teams in 2021.

The Chiefs have more questions than they have in a while thanks to the departure of Tyreek Hill. Meanwhile, the Cardinals’ offense is in rough shape. The Giants are also getting tons of sharp support at the moment. Jacoby Brissett isn’t a world-beater, but he’s proven to be a capable game manager in the past. Daniel Jones may not be the same caliber of player as Allen, but he does have a few things working for him. Football is back, and so are survivor pools! Here are our safe bets, under-the-radar picks and games to avoid for Week 1 of the NFL season.

We'll pass on the fish for this week, thanks. We'll take the home team in this one. It's tempting to take the Dolphins here. If you're not buying the Eagles as a legitimate NFC contender, they should be your Week 1 pick. The ideal scenario is finding a club that you feel is good enough to handle its business this weekend but not good enough to be a favorite to win on a weekly basis. Expect a steady diet of Derrick Henry as the Titans roll to a Week 1 win. But they're still good enough to beat the Lions, who despite all of Dan Campbell's bluster have one of the NFL's least talented rosters. Those stops might be hard to come by Sunday in Los Angeles against Justin Herbert and a loaded Chargers offense. Fun fact: The Giants haven't won a road game in regulation since Dec. But let's be honest: The Jets aren't winning this game. Sure, you could pick Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs to beat the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1, and you'll probably advance to Week 2. But since you can't pick the Chiefs again, your options will be more limited going forward.
