Christchurch's Orangetheory Stadium sold out for tonight's All Blacks ... (All Blacks)

Christchurch's Orangetheory Stadium has sold out ahead of the All Blacks Lipovitan-D Rugby Championship Test against Argentina tonight.

Fans are encouraged to turn up to Orangetheory Stadium early to avoid delays entering the ground with gates open from 6pm. “Thanks for the amazing support that we’ve received all week. The final few tickets for the Test were snapped up on match day morning with bright sun, blue skies and calm conditions creating ideal conditions for a capacity 20,000-strong crowd to watch the All Blacks first Test in Christchurch since 2016.

All Blacks fail to sell out 20000 seater Orangetheory Stadium (RugbyPass)

The All Blacks have so far failed to sell out Orangetheory Stadium ahead of their match with Los Pumas this weekend.

“There’s definitely a buzz and there’s a lot of people coming from a long way away that can get to the game that are pretty excited. “I know it affected the community just before the World Cup, losing all those Test matches through the World Cup. So it is great to have Test match rugby back here in Christchurch. However, ten years on and Orangetheory Stadium is still very much in use by the rugby union, and with the refurbished Lancaster Park not set come online until 2025 at the earliest, they’ll be there for some time yet. “I actually played in Jade Stadium too, or the old AMI, played in the last Test match there,” said All Blacks lock Sam Whitelock. Christchurch is rugby mad.”

Argentina is set to play in New Zealand for the first time since 2018. They're one of the best countries in the world in rugby," Chieka said in an interview with Sky Sport's The Breakdown. If All Blacks fans have any hope for the team it is that Schmidt might bring more direction. "You get to go out and be involved in footy every day. The All Blacks will attempt to back up the win over the World Cup champion Springboks in South Africa two weeks ago which made it possible for New Zealand Rugby to throw its backing behind Foster. "He's the coach of New Zealand. "There's plenty of pressure around playing for the All Blacks. Mo'unga also sharpened the All Blacks' attack. Enjoying a new lease on life as Pumas coach, Cheika said Foster also should be enjoying the pressure of coaching the All Blacks. The team has been re-energised by former Wallabies coach Michael Cheika and goes into the match on the back of a 48-17 win over Australia. A loss to Argentina is something All Blacks supporters normally would not consider likely. The All Blacks currently languish at fifth place, their lowest-ever world ranking.

New Zealand vs Argentina LIVE: Rugby Championship score and ... (The Independent)

The All Blacks and Pumas meet in Christchurch looking to build on big wins last time out.

The All Blacks play wide through the hands, Rieko Ioane arcing to the outside and drawing two and then producing a delectable short ball that Jordie Barrett gobbles up. It was an overthrow from Julian Montoya, drifting off line, too, and hopping in a friendly manner for his opposite number Samisoni Taukei’aho. Two more penalties against the All Blacks, first straight from the restart, and then for Tyrel Lomax for slamming into Pablo Matera before the Argentina number eight had collected an ugly lineout from Julian Montoya. Julian Montoya is such a threat at the breakdown. But that is the threat of the home side. [with a brutal victory over South Africa](/sport/rugby/rugby-union/new-zealand-south-africa-result-rugby-championship-b2144628.html) in the last round and Argentina overcame Australia. High ball contest crucial for All Blacks to maintain their 'winning ways' (RugbyPass)

The All Blacks diffused South Africas kicking game well in their second test, and winger Will Jordan expects more of the same from Argentina.

The All Blacks gave away multiple penalties in last year’s Rugby Championship for obstruction when blatantly disrupting opponent chasers looking to contest the high ball. The All Blacks tour of South Africa was a tale of two Tests. This is a modal window.
