Saints Row review – a vast, ridiculous B-movie caper (The Guardian)

With its wonky sets, dodgy cameras and bizarre plotlines, this reboot of the gangster adventure series is haphazard but joyful.

To me that is a far more interesting set of stablemates than the last couple of Saints Row titles. Now, everyone is in on the joke – and the joke is about trying to exist as a young person in the post-capitalist hellzone of the 21st century. You can just wander the map, getting into fights, testing the technical boundaries and knowing that you’re not going to run into any of the foghorn satire or braying misogyny of the GTA series. You earn cash by taking on missions and use it to open new bases, buy guns and customise the vehicles you steal, and everything is managed through a smartphone interface. When the Saints want to find out what a rival group is planning, they don’t send in a spy, they check the gang’s official social media feed. When the trailer to this reboot of the long-running gangster adventure series arrived last year, gaming’s gutter world of gatekeeping nerd misanthropes swung straight into action – and by that I mean a lot of angry boys whined online about Saints Row going “woke”.

'Saints Row' Reviews Are Here And They Are Bad (Forbes)

Saints Row, the reboot of the beloved open world franchise, has arrived with relatively little marketing fanfare, and now, not very good review scores.

I’ve only played the intro for it so far, but I can immediately understand the complaints about it looking and feeling dated in the modern gaming landscape. It’s too soon to gauge how the characters and their script play, but so far things aren’t looking promising, in that department. There’s definitely no shortage of shallow shoot ‘em up thrills to be had here, but it’s a very familiar and uninspired brand of sandbox fun that’s unlikely to wow anybody who’s played a Saints Row game before, much less a GTA.” [ on Metacritic](https://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-5/saints-row) and a 66 [on Open Critic](https://opencritic.com/game/11879/saints-row), but those will likely converge as more reviews arrive. I’m glad the Saints are back, hopefully for another long haul.” Probably not quite worth the price of admission.”

Saints Row Review – An Enjoyable Reboot (Press Start Australia)

If you like the Saints Row games, you’ll like the reboot. Some of the abilities available were particularly fun to use, like the powerful limited-use sniper rifle and a grenade that would send enemies hurling up into the air. And while the story itself felt relatively mediocre when compared to series highlights like Saints Row 2, it’s certainly a step up from Saints Row 4 and Gat Out Of Hell. The game refused to send a final confirmation notification to the host player, so I wasn’t able to test out how it worked and performed. Some of these will have you protecting drug dealers, while others will see you making use of a helicopter to transport vehicles across the city. Spread throughout the city are a bunch of vacant lots, and to build up the Saints’ criminal empire you’ve gotta buy them.

Saints Row: The Kotaku Australia Review (Kotaku Australia)

Here at last: it's the Kotaku Autralia review of Saints Row, a reboot that doesn't understand the meaning of the word.

The goal of a reboot is to approach familiar material from a new perspective. If the promise of Saints Row was to reboot the franchise for a new era, then Volition has let itself down. That Saints Row is being released in this state is truly surprising to me. And then there are the visuals, which run the gamut from concerningly average to occasionally kind of nice. Every character has the smooth, waxy skin and rolling eyes of a theme park animatronic. There is little as infuriating as flying over a long, straight bridge only to have a car, with nothing ahead of it, abruptly change lanes as you approach. I don’t think the end-of-mission wrap-up sequence has changed at all since Saints Row 4. This is to say nothing of the traffic AI, which behaves in ways I haven’t seen since GTA 3. Just roll and shoot, and the rest takes care of itself. Your hideout is magnificent, your parties are a bacchanal, your colours are respected, and your dominance is absolute. Here’s the problem: we’ve done all of this before. Marketed as developer Volition’s triumphant return to its flagship franchise, Saints Row is instead a resounding disappointment.

Saints Row Review: A reboot in need of rebooting (Stevivor)

"Saints Row returns after an almighty layoff with promises of a lavish reboot that keeps its joshing sense of humour and penchant for mayhem," writes Ben.

Saints Row is a classic example of co-op for the sake of it, and it commits the cardinal sin of not allowing both players to keep their progress; only the host moves forward. That’s originally a 2011 game that has better combat and controlling vehicles, looks about the same with more detailed character models, has a wider range of gameplay variety and isn’t plagued by the same serious issues. [Saints Row](https://stevivor.com/tag/saints-row/) finds a better tone than its predecessor, but otherwise doesn’t deliver as a reboot, with gameplay and mission structures inferior to past instalments. Keanu may have unlocked the fountain of youth in real life, but his unofficial appearance in Saints Row has aged him terribly; and that’s true for all characters. Despite the limited formula and lack of variety, there’s still an enjoyable experience underneath that plays it too safe and lacks innovation, had it been more polished. This Saints Row finds a better balance, and much of the humour is framed by your revolving door of playable characters. That would have been a predictable retooling of previous games, had the combat been revitalised. It doesn’t matter what the set-up is – if you give a donut store a bad rating, you’ll need to slay 35 generic baddies to end the mission. There’s a nice variety of scenarios, but they’re all abandoned almost immediately and follow exactly the same mission structure: an outdated third-person shooter, or a very floaty vehicle sequence with excessive explosions. Consider that the best indication of Saints Row’s sense of humour and how it positions itself as a big parody of every gang or street crime story you’ve ever seen. It lacks innovation and dishes up too much of the same, as none of its ideas are fleshed out enough. It’s more of a reset in story and tone than a proper reboot.

Saints Row Performance Review – PS5 vs Xbox Series X vs PC - IGN (IGN)

Volition has always been known for pushing technology, with its game Decent even beating the revolutionary Quake to a full 3D engine. In this Saints Row ...

The current gen consoles run many of the settings at High or the highest and achieves a close match for the PC in many areas. The Series S has a single 1080p mode and its performance is worse than the Series X and PS5 consoles in the 1440 High Quality mode. At 1440p the High FPS mode is close to the 1080p Ultra mode levels of performance, with again both machines being almost identical on the points and levels of dips below 60fps. It does not look that far removed from the best on PC and console and in fact, looks visually better than the Series S due to the higher resolution and almost identical visual settings. As such the 1440p/maximum is my recommendation for this level of GPU, based on the launch day build, and 1080p/maximum for mid-range level GPUs such as the RX 6700 or RTX 2070 and below. In fact, the 1080p Ultra mode on consoles does appear to be almost identical to the PC’s best, aside from shadows which, although still noisy at times even on Ultra, can be a little cleaner and less dithered on the PC’s best at higher resolutions. Finally, the 4K mode, which believe it or not, still targets 60fps is almost never out of the 40s and can even dip just below the 30s in very brief moments. The 4K mode does offer the best image quality and clarity of the lot, sadly with no ray tracing present, which is true on both consoles. It increases the pixel coverage/resolution of the effect as you scale up from 1080p to 1440p, however the setting itself drops from the PC Ultra setting when at 1080p to closer to the PC High setting when at 1440p. With these specs, we can push these options to the max and see how much the PC and game engine can scale. The Ray Traced ambient occlusion operates within screen space and is only available in the 1080p and 1440p modes on the PS5 and Series X. The Series S makes do with a single 1080p mode, as does the Xbox One X, albeit at a higher resolution of 2560x1440p. Due to the number of modes, it would also suggest the engine does not currently offer a dynamic resolution scaling solution.

Saints Row Reboot Release Time (Game Rant)

Almost one year to the day since being announced at Gamescom 2021, Volition's Saints Row reboot is ready for release. Here's the exact launch time.

The Series X version is the most reviewed at the time of writing and currently holds a 66 rating on Metacritic after 32 critic reviews. Given that the PlayStation versions of the game are between 50 and 60 Gigabytes in size, PC players should allow themselves plenty of time for the game to download, though exactly how much will obviously depend on their internet speeds. It's important to note that the timezone is locked to the region of a player's PS Plus, Xbox Live, or Epic Games Store account rather than their physical location, so those hoping to play

Saints Row PC requirements, performance, and the best settings to ... (Rock Paper Shotgun)

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 / AMD Radeon RX 480 · VRAM: 4GB · CPU: Intel Core i3-3240 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200 · RAM: 8GB · OS: Windows 10 64-bit · Storage: 50GB available ...

Just be sure to keep scene detail on High, and post processing on Ultra; these will let you avoid the pop-in and blurriness that their respective lower settings will induce. There’s only a 2% performance gain to be had from the Low setting, if my GTX 1060 is any indication, although it doesn’t look drastically worse than High either. Ray traced ambient occlusion: As per the above, this is a decent enough improvement on the standard HBAO setting that it can be worth enabling – and there’s little visual difference between its Low and Ultra settings. [Nvidia DLSS](https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/confirmed-ray-tracing-and-dlss-games-2022) or [AMD FSR](https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/fsr-20-tested-amds-new-upscaler-closes-the-gap-on-dlss), getting more frames out of Saints Row will demand a lowering of the graphics settings. Switching this off entirely produced a 6% performance gain, which isn’t peanuts, though doing so makes the environment seem flatter and artificial. Low was unsurprisingly the best for pure performance, producing 84fps, though Medium – with 77fps – is a better balance of smoothness and fidelity. I lean towards a higher setting, admittedly: it’s possible to make enough positive changes elsewhere that even weaker hardware can afford the occasional hit. [Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060](https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060-review-best-1440p-graphics-card) can handle the Ultra quality preset at 1080p; I used a 6GB model for the bulk of my testing, as it’s still the most-used PC gaming GPU as per [Steam’s hardware surveys](https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/videocard/). I also tried an [RTX 3070](https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3070-review), which – still on Ultra quality – eased to 85fps at 1440p and got a playable 45fps at 4K. Meanwhile, the RTX 3070 and its purpose-built RT cores could run this setting on High quality, at 1440p and with the Ultra preset, at 81fps: just 4fps slower than with ray tracing turned off completely. The High preset was only moderately faster than Ultra, averaging 53fps to Ultra’s 47fps, though it was more stable with fewer sharp drops. Really, the only oddity to report is the ray traced ambient occlusion option.

'Saints Row' is good, mindless fun. It's also barely playable. (The Washington Post)

"Saints Row" is a reboot that aims to strike a balance between the franchise's roots and its silliness. Unfortunately, it's a buggy and unoptimized mess.

I would start a mission, see that the quest giver wants to meet me all the way on the other side of town, quit the mission, fast travel to get closer and then start the mission again. On yet another mission, after fighting my way through a gauntlet of enemies to find a car I needed to destroy, the car suddenly became invulnerable. For some bizarre reason, the game won’t let you fast travel during the introductory phase of a main mission. But even without the bugs, “Saints Row” is in dire need of more development time. My game crashed during a cutscene after a main story mission, and when I loaded back in, the mission had already concluded. In the absurdist, cartoony world of “Saints Row” where assassinations are crowdsourced out to the gig economy via an app called Wanted, racking up a body count in the thousands should be gleeful fun.

Is Nostalgia Strong Enough To Carry Reboots Like Saints Row To ... (Kotaku Australia)

Nostalgia is a powerful thing, but how much can it carry a video game reboot when said reboot relies heavily on a series' historical reputation?

I’m sure there will be plenty of people who enjoy the new Saints Row for what it is, a dialling back of a series that has gone above and beyond in its goofiness with each new addition. On the other hand, maybe nostalgia can only do so much of the heavy lifting before it feels like the video game-loving kid we used to be is being squeezed for our pocket money. Of course, the odd bug and glitch will be an eyesore for those wanting to see polish in a video game reboot. The highest-rated game in the series is one where you are the leaders of the free world fighting against aliens, so it’s a bit hard to go back to just a standard build-your-own-gang game. When your brand is silliness, and the bar for that was raised so high in previous games, how do you get the crowd excited about a back-to-basics approach? Every game has at least one fan that wants sequels arriving until the end of time. It just depends on what the game is. Sometimes it works and makes the experience better, introducing a whole new audience of people to a game loved by many in the past. On the other hand, if you’re rebooting a generally well-loved series, the expectations are reeeeeeal high. A complete remake or remaster of a game can use the new age technology to infuse an older game with that sweet gamer goodness to make it look and feel sparkly and new. Sometimes, this means doing something completely different, letting the franchise take on a new life entirely, a la Fallout 3 and Grand Theft Auto 3. I was at a movie theatre and looked around at the posters for films ‘In Cinemas Now’ and ‘Coming Soon’.

The New Saints Row Is Getting Trashed By Critics (Kotaku Australia)

If you were hoping Saints Row would sate your hunger between GTA re-re-re-releases, you might be better off waiting a bit longer. Reviews for the.

“The new Saints Row has shed its shark-jumping silliness and smutty tendencies in favour of a return to its open-world gangland roots. [instantly become a mini-monster factory for players](https://www.kotaku.com.au/2022/06/the-best-and-weirdest-creations-people-have-made-using-saints-row-boss-factory/) — and its new setting, the fictional [Santo Ileso](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDr4l1DdRCU). “Previews suggested that this week’s new series reboot, simply titled Saints Row, might wipe the slate clean to provide a fresh perspective on the crime-spree genre. “If you enjoyed previous Saints Row games, you will probably like this one, and if you’ve never played one, this is a decent onboarding point. “My Saints Row experience was enjoyable and more than occasionally frustrating: At times it feels like Volition is on the cusp of a breakthrough in both social commentary and open-world game mechanics, while at other times it feels like it’s upholding the status quo. While never as rich or mechanically satisfying as GTA V, the new Saints Row more than makes up for it with a pitch-perfect balance of comedy and compelling storytelling. “This year’s reboot of Saints Row presents a sunny sandbox bursting with heists, hijinks, and witty banter. [announced last summer](https://www.kotaku.com.au/2021/08/a-brand-new-saints-row-game-is-getting-revealed-next-week/), Saints Row is a full-on reboot of Volition’s long-running series of GTA clones, which hasn’t seen a new entry since 2013’s Saints Row IV (unless you count its standalone 2015 expansion, Gat Out of Hell). But based on what our colleagues in the gaming press corps have to say about it, this may be a blessing: I wouldn’t wish a 40-hour sprint through this open-world game on any of my colleagues (unless they’re named Zack Zwiezen, sorry bud!). I love the new cast of characters and what they represent to marginalised community members who will play this game, and the story is compelling enough that I persevered in the face of some irritating bugs. And it desperately wants you to think you’re having fun, without ever providing concrete steps towards giving players more to do than function in a very rote loop.” — William Hughes NPR [described the writing](https://www.npr.org/2022/08/22/1118756811/saints-row-review) as “witty” and “compelling.” But many reviewers were largely negative.

I also respect that a good amount of work and detail has gone into Saints Row here. By the end there, the series was starting to be in pretty rough shape, and I’d argue that this reboot feels a lot more polished than 4 did at the time, and is closer to be on par with Saints Row the Third. It’s not brilliant by any means (I mean, were Saints Row scripts ever?), but it’s passable, and I’ve even genuinely laughed a few times (when teaching a friend to shoot, my boss: “I just like to imagine there’s a little white crosshair on my target when I fire”). And as a Saints Row fan, I really do think this game has gotten a good amount of the formula right. If we are judging on the overall scale of AAA games these days, sure, there’s a lot about Saints Row that feels dated and unpolished. Even if you’re grading on a curve and expecting a bit less from Saints Row as a series, mid-70s would have been considered much closer to a win.

10 Reasons Why Saints Row Is Better Than GTA (PCMag AU)

Volition reboots the crime sandbox series with a new game—but is Saints Row better than the franchise that inspired it?

It’s just more fun to wreak havoc with a friend, and Saints Row has you covered there. While we’re not afraid of a little darkness, it gets to be a little much at times. However, in Saints Row, the player has access to a robust upgrade system that puts them in the driver’s seat for growing their abilities, letting them increase running speed, decrease damage taken, earn money faster, and more. There’s always something different to occupy your time in these games, as opposed to the limited and ultimately meaningless side stuff in the GTA franchise. Even worse, there usually seems to be only one correct way to beat them, and deviating from the script leads to frustrating re-dos. But the Saints are a gang, and they look out for each other. The dark and ruthless universe of Grand Theft Auto makes you feel like it’s you against the world, and even the trio of protagonists in the last game still felt pretty lonely. While Rockstar cut out the wacky and fun weapons from the older games, Volition added in even more, and the combination of tactical depth and absurd boomsticks makes skirmishes in Saints Row a lot more enjoyable throughout the game. One of the great disappointments of the GTA series is how little you can actually interact with the fantastically detailed worlds Rockstar puts together. The non-numbered title is a reboot of the franchise set in a Las Vegas-esque city, and it’s not hard to see this as a shot across the bow at Rockstar’s in-development Grand Theft Auto 6. Rockstar has slowly been pivoting the GTA series towards robust, movie-like narratives, and to do that you have to have well-defined lead characters. But in many ways, even though Saints Row is seen as an imitator, there’s a lot of stuff that it does way better than the original.

Saints Row fans think buggy launch means the end of the franchise (GamesRadar)

The new Saints Row game (and its bugs) has fans worried about the franchise.

The team over at [Kinda Funny games experienced the exact same character model glitch](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8MY3SxW83U&t=2102s&ab_channel=KindaFunnyGames) (opens in new tab). While some of Saints Row's negative or middling reviews can be attributed to the game's overall vibe (which I myself wrote is "dated"), the major issue is the plethora of bugs. [Saints Row](https://www.gamesradar.com/new-saints-row-guide/) bugs have many franchise fans worried this could be the death knell for the series. I myself ran into a glitch during the Insurance Fraud missions where all the cars in Santo Ileso would just disappear. Our [Saints Row review](https://www.gamesradar.com/saints-row-review-2022/) mentions a few of the bugs encountered during 20 hours of gameplay, which included a mission that had to be replayed several times and a bug that temporarily broke all takedown animations - but there are many more circulating the internet.

No, wait, Saints Row is filled with bizarre bugs after all (Rock Paper Shotgun)

Saints Row players are bumping into all sorts of nasty bugs, some merely visual and some ending the fun entirely. It doesn't seem to run on the Steam Deck, ...

You could consider this less of an outright failing than all the bugs and glitches, since Saints Row was never intended to run on the Linux-based SteamOS in the first place (and a lot of games that are actually on Steam, and thus don’t require any further tweaking with launchers, are incompatible with the Deck as well). [Steam Deck](https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/topics/steam-deck). Right now it’s only available via the Epic Games Launcher, which I have installed on SteamOS [via this method](https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/how-to-install-epic-games-launcher-on-steam-deck) and Liam uses through the [Heroic Games Launcher](https://heroicgameslauncher.com/), but neither of us can get past the DirectX version selection screen on the game’s own launcher. [Saints Row](https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/games/saints-row-2022) at the moment. Although I spent the latter half of last week playing and [performance testing](https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/saints-row-pc-requirements-performance-and-the-best-settings-to-use) it, the worst I saw in terms of bugs, glitches and unintentional chicanery was one temporarily floating pedestrian and a few de-synced execution animations. Even so, hopefully a patch or three is in the works, as clearly not all of these issues are as harmless as Liam capping his own windows.

Saints Row: Worst Bugs, Glitches, and Technical Problems So Far (Den of Geek)

Saints Row is certainly buggy, but should you avoid playing this reboot altogether due to its technical problems?

At the moment, it feels like this is just “one of those things” that is going to happen in most games from time to time. The game’s aiming issues and mission progress bugs are the biggest technical problem I’ve encountered and heard about at the time of this writing. Realistically, though, you kind of have to accept that these problems are going to pop up in a lot of modern games from time to time. You will most likely encounter a notable number of bugs and glitches in this game, but many of them will be visual bugs that impact the presentation more than anything else. We were warned that some of those problems were on the devs’ radars as “known issues,” and it does seem like some of those known issues have already been addressed. The earliest versions of Saints Row (pre-release review versions) seem to have suffered from a bug that would prevent you from doing pretty much anything. While this is going to be a theme throughout this article, it’s worth noting now that your mileage may vary in terms of how many animation bugs you encounter and how much they ruin your experience. In fact, this might be more of a design problem than anything else. While this obviously isn’t the biggest technical problem you could possibly run into in a modern game, this particular presentation glitch does seem to be more common than some of the others. While we’ll talk more about some of the game’s design, structure, and writing problems in future articles, you should first know a little more about some of the game’s various bugs, glitches, and technical problems. “Hilarious” really is the right word to describe both the quantity and nature of those glitches. While few modern video games are entirely free of technical problems, it does seem like more and more major new games are being released in a fundamentally unfinished state.

Are Saints Row cheats in the 2022 reboot? (PCGamesN)

Saints Row cheats are a staple throughout the series so far, but the huge question is whether they exist in Volition's 2022 reboot or not.

Plus, since you can’t cheat your way to a full garage, take a look at the [best Saints Row vehicles](https://www.pcgamesn.com/saints-row/cars-vehicles-best) to keep an eye out for on the road. And, while you might use cheats to infinitely buff your stats, you can still increase your health and damage with some skills. For now, you’ll have to play the game as intended, but with some suitably silly skills and abilities available. This is still a Saints Row game, after all. With Saints Row racing full-throttle into the gen-z era, it’s only natural to wonder if its classic cheats are still a thing. However, you might be surprised by the

Saints Row: Complete Venture Quest Guide (TheGamer)

This is a guide to every venture quest in Saints Row, including Insurance Fraud and Chop Shop.

Afterward, you get the option of building the venture known as Castle Kraken to continue this plotline. During the main mission named The Dustmoot, you get introduced to the world of live-action role-play. It's not hard to guess what the venture quests are for this one. After building up your empire a bit and completing the Drawing Heat mission, you get some new venture options. To do so, you go to marked spots on the map, and after talking with your informant there, you forcibly steal a nearby food truck. It's another one that becomes available right after the game introduces you to the empire table. When you first gain access to the empire table, Bright Future is one of the criminal ventures that you can get for free. You get paid for each barrel that survives the journey. At the same time, you unlock the venture quests known collectively as Chop shop. Therefore, each criminal venture you purchase comes with a set of quests for you to complete, which helps out the business in some way. Regardless, you need to steal what he wants and bring them back to Jimrobs. Yet, the boss isn't the type of leader to let everything else do the work.

Saints Row (2022) beginner's guide: Tips and tricks to get started (Windows Central)

Saints Row is returning in a big way with a brand-new release. Master the streets of Santo Ileso and raise The Saints to new heights with these helpful tips ...

In Saints Row (2022), you're guaranteed to kill a lot of pixelated NPCs in your quest to make The Saints the greatest criminal organization in all of Santo Ileso. I never once had to spend money replenishing my ammo at shops, and comfortably completed the story of Saints Row (2022) solely by collecting ammo from fallen enemies. It's well worth your time to spend a few seconds after each battle to collect, as the earnings quickly pile up throughout your time in Saints Row (2022). After that, you'll be able to find that Fast Travel location at any point on your map and move there instantly (as long as you're not in combat or otherwise can't Fast Travel). Skills are split between permanent upgrades to your health and Flow (more on that below) and unique abilities you can call upon in the midst of battle. However you decide to play Saints Row (2022), investing money and time into your Ventures is a good idea. Still, the combination of Skills and Perks can make your character significantly more powerful, and allows you to finetune your playstyle. These Perks are unlocked by completing Challenges, and can make your character passively more powerful (or make doing certain tasks more convenient or easier). Skills can turn the tide of battle in a pinch, so be sure to remember to equip them and check regularly to see whether you've leveled up and unlocked a new one. More than that, though, the missions through which the story is delivered are not only great ways to become familiar with the world of Saints Row (2022) and its features and game mechanics, but also to accrue plenty of cash, XP, new toys and tools, and much more. Several Missions also reward huge chunks of cash, which can be used to purchase anything you want (or to invest in Ventures for increased passive income). Once you've unlocked the Empire Table and are able to construct Ventures to expand your criminal empire, you should have plenty of experience and the entire world of Santo Ileso open to you.

Saints Row's Biggest Failure Is How It Misunderstands Today's Youth (TheGamer)

I always had my hesitations with the reboot, unsure about its new approach to story and characters and a reliance on gameplay systems that already felt outdated ...

That form of social justice, albeit on a far more explosive scale, could have been a huge thing for Saints Row to explore, or practically any issue that mirrors the real world and takes older generations to task for the economy, climate change, bigotry, or literally anything instead of poorly written jokes that think they're vibing with the cool kids. The reboot delivers on none of that and snuffles out its own future as a consequence. We are working for the man, but aside from making weak jokes there is never an attempt by the game to analyse this power dynamic and do something about it, or go further than making irritating jokes about capitalism while simultaneously leaning into some of the very worst habits such things have come to perpetuate. It is framed as a tiresome grind as our protagonist is thrown to the wolves on her first day with no training to speak of. The way these people who have all been dealt a bad hand stick together in the face of adversity is cute and honest, but the myriad issues they talk about tackling are all surface level and are never reinforced by the overarching narrative. I always had my hesitations with the reboot, unsure about its new approach to story and characters and a reliance on gameplay systems that already felt outdated ten years ago.

Saints Row: How to Unlock and Play Co-Op (Den of Geek)

And as a final warning, even if you turn on the option to prank allies, you can’t do so unless they also activate that option. You can also turn on friendly fire and tweak its damage output, determine whether visiting guests can customize your HQ, and even activate the ability to prank your ally. While playing a co-op campaign, go to the pause menu and select the “Co-op” option, which brings up three more choices: Join Friend, Invite Friend, and Co-op Settings. If you’d prefer to team up with a random gamer, the “Matchmaking” option is right up your alley. Once you’ve selected that mode, simply choose the save file you want to use, and Saints Row will load you into it, ready for some co-op action. Before you can actually start teaming up with someone, you need to decide who will be the co-op host.

Saints Row is here, but many users can't play until they accept permissions for the Epic Games Store. Here's how to fix this problem.

In the case of Saints Row, the game’s permissions never show up in Windows when it’s run from the Epic Games launcher. After that, Saints Row should launch normally from the Epic Games Store client. Open your game library in the Epic Games Store launcher and right-lick on Saints Row.

Saints Row: How Long to Beat (Game Rant)

This guide will help players understand how long it will take to beat Saints Row's (2022) main quests, side hustles, challenges, and collectibles.

For those who want to cut out the filler and focus on Saints Row's narrative, the game should take around 15 to 20 hours to beat, provided players don’t run into some of the many bugs that have plagued the game at launch. A game filled with side hustles, collectibles, and extra activities, [Saints Row](https://gamerant.com/tag/saints-row/) tasks the player with accumulating wealth and status to grow the power of the gang throughout the city of Santo Ileso. Saints Row: How to Unlock the Insurance Fraud Minigame (Den of Geek)

The main goal of Saints Row is to build your own criminal empire, but you can't do that without engaging in shady activities. Here's how to unlock Saints ...

From there, you just need to head back to the Saints HQ in order to actually unlock the Insurance Fraud minigame. Once your Shady Oaks is up and running, the game will transport you over to it via a short loading screen. Since Insurance Fraud is a tradition dating back to the first Saints Row game, the side activity rightfully returns in the recent reboot. Select any location, and the game will let you construct one of three fronts: Bright Future, Chalupacabra, and Shady Oaks. While nobody in their right mind could ever recommend doing that in real life, in Saints Row, the activity is all in good fun and is often a pretty good way to earn some extra cash. Of course, few of the franchise’s various side activities are more entertaining than the franchise’s famous Insurance Fraud minigame.

Saints Row: The fastest cars and where to find them (For The Win)
