Anyone who sees the young men in Victoria should not approach them and call police immediately.

“Any escape is taken very seriously and the safety of the community is of paramount concern,” a spokesperson from the Department of Justice and Community Safety said. He is known to frequent the Ballarat area and is not believed be violent. After allegedly being on the run for more than 24 hours, Piscopo was arrested on Monday at a residential address in Ballarat about 10.30am, police said.

Police are on the hunt for two young men who escaped through the roof of their bedrooms in a Melbourne youth justice centre.

The centre houses boys and young men ranging between 15 and 21 years of age. The men are believed to have escaped through the roof space of their bedrooms and exited the building through a plant room door. Staff at the facility told the ABC the men escaped through the roof and workers did not realise they were missing until Sunday morning.
