PewDiePie Trends On Twitter After Mocking Deaf TikTok Creator (Forbes)

The dust has largely settled around popular YouTuber Felix Kjellberg, known as PewDiePie, who used to attract a constant stream of scandals; on Wednesday, ...

“Hey, just to clear a few things up: I edited out the clip with the girl that has the long nails. As per tradition, Kjellberg’s fans claimed that Kjellberg was simply making fun of May’s nails, and that Kjellberg didn't even know she was deaf. At this point, we’ve all endured years of cancel culture discourse, and a lot of creators have figured out that simply addressing scandals as they arise and clarifying intentions are the best way to quell the fire and, well, make things boring again.

New PewDiePie Clip is Causing Controversy (Game Rant)

PewDiePie's recent reaction to a deaf TikTok user in a video focusing on 'cringy' uploads has some viewers crying foul.

Still, these incidents pale in comparison to a 2017 controversy that saw much of the gaming industry turn against PewDiePie when he was heard using an extremely offensive racial slur during a PUBG match. While detractors are likely to find that a feeble excuse, PewDiePie’s core audience doesn’t seem to have been particularly bothered. Once famed for shrieking over horror games like Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Cry of Fear, PewDiePie has since moved to Japan, gotten married, and mostly moved away from his old Let’s Play style.
