Now we have the date, and that was really the only outstanding major question left. A recent leak said that Sony was planning to reveal the date about a week ago, but that didn’t happen and Sony Santa Monica’s Cory Balrog tweeted that if it was up to him, he’d share more, implying Sony wanted to wait for some reason. That’s pretty much it, it seems, and unlike Xbox’s Starfield, which was delayed into 2023, PlayStation will indeed have a big holiday hit this year, and it seems as if Elden Ring could have some 2022 GOTY competition after all.

God of War: Ragnarok, one of Sony's biggest games of the year, has an official release date. The game is set to be released on both PS5 and PS4.

Join Kratos and Atreus on a mythic journey for answers before the prophesied battle that will end the world. The game was originally scheduled to release in 2021, but was later bumped to 2022. In addition to the release date news, the developer also put out a new CG trailer that teases out some of the story.

God of War Ragnarok's Collector's Edition and Jotnar Edition will surely sell out quickly when they are available to preorder on July 15.

The duo is on a mission to learn more about the prophecy of Loki, trekking across the Nine Realms and facing off against Norse gods in the process. The box is a replica of the Knowledge Keeper's Shrine, which appeared in God of War. It's a bit of a bummer that it doesn't include a physical disc, especially since the CE has a steelbook case with the Bear and the Wolf emblazoned on the front. God of War Ragnarok's Digital Deluxe Edition will come with a bunch of in-game content as well as additional bonuses that will appeal to dedicated fans. After all, God of War Ragnarok will undoubtedly be one of the best-selling games of the holiday season. Both of those premium editions of Ragnarok come with a bunch of collectibles and are sure to sell out very quickly.
