Originally, Wordle was dreamed up by software engineer Josh Wardle (opens in new tab), as a surprise for his partner who loves word games. After that it's just a case of using what you've learned to narrow your guesses down to the right word. 🟩 means you've got the right letter in the right spot. Careful strategy is a lot more reliable, but just sometimes the "trick" is to blindly stumble upon the answer and take the win. 🟨 means the letter is in the word, but not in that position.

The surest advice I can give you is that when you're plugging in your guesses, be sure to prioritize some of the letters you normally wouldn't. Make sure you're covering your vowels still (those are always important), but as far as consonants go, show the outliers some love this go around. Everything about most of today’s answer came together for me purely out of chance, but I’m here now to make sure that isn’t the case for you all.
