He's currently on a very chaotic press tour. Someone, please check on Taylor Kitsch.

There will always be movies about Green Berets who are enlisted to go on one last, big mission—to Mars. There will always be movies about retired cops avenging the murder of their wife/daughter/dog. There will always be Jack Reachers and Jack Ryans and plenty of other Jacks, too. Pratt told a story about golfing with his pastor, which would seemingly undermine the “not a religious person” thing. No one likes to be disliked, but Pratt should try to embrace his place at the bottom of the internet’s Chris rankings. In another joint interview, this time with the Associated Press, Kitsch had the mien of a man watching a litter of puppies being murdered just out of frame. Now, during a press tour for his upcoming TV series The Terminal List, he seems to be trying to bolster his place in the Chris rankings—and it’s all getting a bit weird.

“I think there’s a distinction between being religious — adhering to the customs created by man, oftentimes appropriating the awe reserved for who I believe is a very real God — and using it to control people, to take money from people, to abuse children, to steal land, to justify hatred.” This became more confusing when he clarifies that he doesn’t go to the controversial Hillsong Church; instead, he goes to the youth-oriented Zoe Church, which, according to the profile, “was founded by pastor Chad Veach,” who “executive-produced a 2017 film that equated ‘sexual brokenness’ with ‘same-sex attraction.’” Pratt does also say that “religion has been oppressive as fuck for a long time.” It sure has, CP. Apparently, Chris Pratt does not put the Chris in Christian. Chris Pratt in Amazon's 'The Terminal List': TV Review (Hollywood Reporter)

Chris Pratt stars in 'The Terminal List,' Amazon's adaptation of Jack Carr's novel about a Navy SEAL trying to unravel a vast conspiracy.

Most of the rest of the series is people driving around in the dark, skulking in the dark, experiencing headaches in the dark and engaging in pew-pew-pew-level gunplay. In a show that generally suffers from an Ozark level of reduced lighting — Ozark and The Terminal List are produced by THR‘s corporate siblings at MRC Television — Pratt gives a matching performance. Because Reece has been written without a shred of an individual voice, making use of none of Pratt’s established appealing traits, you’ll be rooting for him for one of two reasons: First, he’s a SEAL and therefore invariably heroic; or second, because the pilot ends with a manipulative event that turns tragedy into cheap narrative shorthand. Not a single person he’s attempting to avenge received enough screen time to justify behavior that even Fox News — the near-exclusive news outlet of anybody watching TV in The Terminal List — figures makes Reece a domestic terrorist. The Terminal List was adapted from the first of five Jack Carr novels built around the character of James Reece (Pratt). Reece is a Navy SEAL commander, and in the series’ opening scene, his platoon is sent on a mission that goes very, very wrong. Or perhaps his greatest adversary is his own brain, because Reece is experiencing hallucinations and dissociative episodes that could make him a danger to himself and others.
