Samoa outclass Cook Islands in league Test (7NEWS.com.au)

Samoa's wealth of NRL experience has paved the way for a 42-12 over the Cook Islands in their Pacific Test at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

The Cook Islands did well to turn the game into an arm-wrestle in the 20 minutes either side of halftime just when Samoa threatened to run away with the Test. The Samoan national anthem brought Schuster to tears before the game in a potent reminder of just how much the return of international rugby league means to the players. Schuster is tipped to play five-eighth for the Sea Eagles from next season and proved he'll be up to the task with two pin-point kicks that led to tries in the second half.

Nofoaluma bags four tries as Samoa overrun Cook Islands (The Sydney Morning Herald)

Wests Tigers star David Nofoaluma had a field day for Samoa on Saturday with four tries against Cook Islands at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

We lost our way a little bit in the middle third . . . we defended well, scrambled well, a few try saving tackles. Obviously he doesn’t remember too much of the first third of the game, but I thought he was very good,” Parish said. “We started well, we finished well. Parish said that his team’s performance was a good sign of what was to come in the Rugby League World Cup in October. A reinvigorated Cook Islands were faster in the ruck and completed more sets, but the gulf in class was too much. The King of Campbelltown was a driving force in his side’s 42-12 thumping of the Cook Islands, who struggled to get out of their half for most of the first 40 minutes.
