The model, 29, cut a stylish figure on Wednesday as she attended an exclusive screening of the new series at London's Soho House.
'There's a growing familiarity among them, for sure, now in season two, which also brings tests to the trust they've built, and a deeper reliance on each other as their main sources of support,' Hoffman told the publication. She actually hired me when I had just become a model, and she had designed a clothing line. And, of course, working with Steve Martin and Martin Short is like a master class in comedy. Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin are each returning for the new season, alongside Cara Delevigne and Michael Rapaport playing new characters.
John Hoffman (who co-created Only Murders with star Steve Martin) is co-writing and co-directing the opening episodes of season 2. Only Murders in the Building is about three neighbours – Charles, Oliver, and Mabel – who start a true crime podcast together. Amy Schumer ( Life & Beth) and Shirley Maclaine (The Trouble With Harry) will both make guest appearances too. Martin Short stars as Oliver, a former Broadway director. She’s also appeared in the film Spring Breakers and A Rainy Day in New York. Selena Gomez stars as Mabel, one of the three podcasters.
In a new clip from Only Murders in the Building Season 2, Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez return to the Arconia to help catch a killer.
Only Murders in the Building Season 2 is premiering on Tuesday, June 28. In all seriousness, Season 2 appears to be flipping the script on this bubbly murder mystery. Arguably the funniest show coming back is Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building. Season 2 of this charming murder mystery comedy is premiering next week on June 28.
A newly released Only Murders in the Building season 2 clips sees Oliver, Charles and Mabel receive a not-so-warm welcome at Bunny's memorial.
For now, there isn't long to go until the favorite true-crime gang return to screens, as Only Murders in the Building releases on June 28. Only Murders in the Building season 1 ended on an incredibly dramatic cliffhanger after Mabel was found standing over Bunny's body, with the trio then being driven away in police cars, believed to have some involvement with the tragic crime. Only Murders in the Building was released on Hulu last year and immediately secured its place as the streaming service's most-watched comedy ever.
We can only hope. Shirley MacLaine is back as the show's old-moneyed matriarch. Picture: Hulu.
Now, as named-checked years ago by Samantha in Sex and the City, Martin is "the toast of The New Yorker". It's a world in which Martin is obviously well-versed and OMITB joins his novel, An Object of Beauty, as an ongoing dissection of the industry's place in the (well-heeled) American psyche. Bunny is played by Jayne Houdyshell, a Tony Award-winning actress who, like the rest of the adroitly picked cast, brings so much depth to this laugh-out-loud series and is clearly having the time of her life. In season two, this spot is being occupied by the marvellous Amy Schumer, who is literally replacing rocker Sting by moving into his Arconia penthouse. He's the kid from Waco who loved TV, learned magic tricks and comedic timing at Disneyland and stumbled into mega-fame wearing a white suit and an arrow through his head. From the ever-reliable Michael Rapaport's poetically sweary detective to Jackie Hoffman's quintessentially no-nonsense Big Apple broad to Shirley MacLaine's old-moneyed matriarch (so good to see her back in "The Apartment"), everyone seems on the same page, that is, fully aware of what a rare bird to which they've been lucky enough to find themselves attached.
Exclusive: John Hoffman chats to Total Film about the pressures of living up to a hit first season, season 2 newbies, and the main trio's "magic" chemistry.
In season 2, there's a lot of backstory, and the poignancy of their histories and how they confront that comes into play. If we get to do a third season, there's this whole new influx of new characters that are very clear in my mind. And you get very tempted, but you know you have to stick to your story and tell the story and bring the characters in that make sense for that first. I've just got time for one more, so I wanted to ask about the themes of this season. It lets us understand, anew, who this person was and find the connection to our trio that leads them to get involved in the murder – a secret they've been keeping about what happened on the night that Bunny died. There's an episode in this season that devotes itself to our victim, which was the one thing I wanted to say from the previous question, too. There's a true crime element that I want to honour, and recognise that there's a victim at every source of a true crime. I wanted to ask you about pacing the season, because it's ten episodes like the first, but obviously with that, you had to establish all of these characters and have them slowly bond and stuff, so it was a little slower towards the beginning. In season 1, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel released a podcast that went on to be a big hit, and in season two, they're constantly trying to live up to that with another podcast about another murder. Something that is just true to them, or true to a situation that feels recognizable, and so all of those things felt like territory for us to explore for our show in its humour. It's like they're standing in front of the tree and there's other packages there, but they know there's one big one that they can't wait to open. Getting to know all three of them during the process of writing season one definitely influenced the writing of their characters.

Reminiscent of Jane Fonda's "Fun With Dick and Jane," "Large" features a couple who turn to shady activities in a time of recession. Still teenagers, they continue to fantasize inappropriately and behave like jerks, beginning at a science fair and ending up at the Mir Space Station. There are a few laughs along the way (their misunderstanding of "white privilege" is clever) but almost all of the boys' jokes feel like they came from 1995 and should have stayed there. C.H. "J. Lo gets political" is the general idea behind this documentary, which aims to do for Jennifer Lopez's image what a series of carefully crafted films have done for Beyonce's. She reveals just as much as she wants — and that's not a lot. Like "Hustle," this is the inspiring story of a basketball star's triumph against the odds. In place of the ribbing is a slew of cameos from stars like Shirley MacLaine, making the most of a scene in which she tries to eat a block of cheese.

Though it’s difficult to discern whether or not it’s intentional, there’s a strange intensity and chemistry between Theo and Mabel that makes any scenes with Theo a delight to watch. Yet again, though, Oliver’s plotlines fall the flattest of the three, though not for lack of content. By dedicating an entire episode to Bunny, and continually peeling back new layers even after her death, via testimony about her from tenants, Bunny is the surprise star of Only Murders season two. That’s not to say she’s the only new star, though. It was the unlikely match made in heaven: Two legendary comedians teaming up with a global pop superstar to create one of the most refreshing, charming shows on Hulu: Only Murders in the Building. Now, just a year after the first season had fans dissecting every clue to figure out who killed Tim Kono, the dynamic trio, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, return once again for season two of the offbeat New York murder-mystery dramedy. We do not particularly care for Tim Kono, and the show does not attempt to make us do so.
The true crime satire reunited Steve Martin and Martin Short, while rounding out the main cast with singer/actress Selena Gomez. In the first season, the three ...
As the show did with Sting in its first season, Schumer will actually play a heightened version of herself in season 2. Cara Delevingne rounds out the list of high profile actors joining the cast Only Murders in the Building this season. She has done this successfully throughout her film career in memorable roles like Fran Kubelik in The Apartment and Aurora Greenway in Terms of Endearment. Emmy darling and comedy icon Tina Fey will also return to Only Murders as the successful and funny Cinda Canning. Canning is a prolific and highly popular true crime host. This was not Fey's first collaboration with Martin, as he appeared in a memorable guest role as Gavin Volure in Fey's sitcom 30 Rock. If this is the case, it will be an exciting opportunity for the actress, who has delivered excellent work in projects like High Fidelity and Dolemite is My Name. Hoffman's dry delivery brought plenty of laughs in season 1, and it would be exciting to see her role expanded further in season 2. Hoffman was mostly seen in season 1 alongside Jayne Houdyshell's Bunny. It is no secret that Bunny's murder has become the central premise of the new season, which suggests Hoffman's character will have plenty to say. In addition to Nathan Lane's confirmed return to the series, James Caverly will also be back as Theo. Also returning to season 2 will be Nathan Lane, who played Teddy Dimas. Dimas is initially the Only Murders podcast's main sponsor, though the Nathan Lane character becomes an unlikely suspect as the series progresses. In fact, one of her breakthrough performances was her role on Second City Television (SCTV) with Martin Short. Hulu's hit comedy Only Murders in the Building returns for its highly anticipated second season, which will premiere its first two episodes on June 28th.

Though Mabel, Charles, and Oliver have been threatened with eviction due to Oliver’s unpaid bills and the attention brought to the Arconia from the podcast, Jan’s arrest proves that they are heroes. In a flashback, the audience learns Theo and Zoe had a special friendship, with Theo harboring a crush on her. The subsequent argument between Zoe and Theo culminates with Theo accidentally pushing Zoe off the roof. Last August Hulu released the first season of “ Only Murders in the Building,” a whodunit that blended old-school detective storytelling with fresh characters expertly played by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. The first season had a lot to recommend. Charles was a once-successful actor — playing the former detective Brazzos on a now-defunct television series — while Oliver is an unlucky theater producer set to be evicted from the Arconia. Mabel has been a visitor to the Arconia since birth, staying with her aunt but feeling isolated from everyone else. With Season 2 set to arrive at the end of this month it’s time for a quick refresher on what happened last season.

Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short return for a breezy yet chaotic second season. Read Pinkvilla's review of Only Murders in the Building Season 2 ...
Following Bunny's death, there's an interesting shift in how the show's lead trio see her character and from how annoying she seemed in the first season, there's a great contrast of emotions that happens after her character's death as we get a peek into the life of Bunny and suddenly when they humanise her, the part of her that seemed most dislikable in the first season seems far gone. With six episodes being provided for viewing out of the ten-episode season, there's certainly a chance that the show picks up exceptionally well during the final moments as the murder mystery comes close to its conclusion with the killer in sight. In the case of this show, it's an early return and a tad rushed one as well considering the show seems a little run out of its witty charm that seemed natural the first time around. The fact that the second season of the show arrived so soon seemed worrisome for fans given that they are now used to having to wait for a long period before creators perfect their works to maintain a similar amount of hype and charm in their subsequent works. In the first season, we saw them come together and realise their love for solving crimes together as they tackled a death in the building and successfully caught the killer as well. When the first season arrived, it was laden with elements that were instantly impressive such as the unlikely rapport shared by Gomez, Martin and Short and how well they got off each other's energies to present a show that combined comedy and crime in a manner that seemed impossible to achieve.
