Despite Natalie Portman's preparation for her new role in Thor: Love and Thunder, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige had to change one thing.
In discussing her preparation for her new role in Thor: Love and Thunder, Portman recalled training both prior to and during her work on the Marvel Studios film, and drinking protein shakes to help her look the part of the superhero and prepare for the action of the film. Thor 4 director Taika Waititi already teased that Mighty Thor's fighting style is different from Chris Hemsworth's God of Thunder, noting that she has "a feeling of dance when she fights." Thor: Love and Thunder will showcase the return of Natalie Portman's Jane Foster in the MCU, but this time around, the character gets an upgrade.

It really helped prepare me for the level of action that we ended up doing," Portman said of director Taika Waititi's follow-up to 2017's Thor: Ragnarok. "We had incredible stunt doubles who did the really hard stuff, but there's still a great deal of running and jumping and swords and hammer-fighting. Portman worked out and bulked up to get into superhero shape for the role, showing off her physique as Thor's swole-mate in the Thor: Love and Thunder trailers.
