Golden State Warriors vs Boston Celtics Jun 16, 2022 Game ... (NBA.com)

The Golden State Warriors enter Game 6 of the NBA Finals in Boston on Thursday with an enhanced edge of determination as a fourth title in eight seasons ...

Got to win on Thursday. That's all we got to worry about right now." Behind Tatum's 26.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game average in the playoffs, the Celtics have been on a wild ride. They advanced by winning Game 7 on the road. A determined mindset won't be exclusive to the Warriors, of course. "Obviously, track record says I shoot the ball better the next game," said Curry, whose record streak of 132 consecutive playoff games with a 3-pointer came to an end. "You want to impact the game that way.

Warriors vs. Celtics picks, predictions, schedule for Game 6 of 2022 ... (Sporting News AU)

The Warriors will have a chance to close out the 2022 NBA Finals in Boston on Thursday after taking a 3-2 lead with a Game 5 win.

But far too often, the Celtics have shot themselves in the foot. On the other hand, you never know which version of the Celtics you're going to get. I originally picked the Celtics to win in seven games. The Celtics have benefited from a great home crowd. When Williams has been on the floor, he's been invaluable. The Celtics are plus-31 when he's on the court in this series. Game 6 of the NBA Finals will tip off around 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 16. When he's reined in his shot selection, he has been a huge boon for the team. He must penetrate before the Warriors have an opportunity to load up in the paint. Much of that offense is predicated on taking care of the ball. The Celtics' defense has been consistent. They've also brought help from all over the floor to crowd Tatum's drives, which has led to his 18 turnovers in the series.

NBA finals Game 6: Golden State Warriors 103-90 Boston Celtics ... (The Guardian)

Rolling report: The Golden State Warriors were too good for the Boston Celtics as they wrapped up the finals series 4-2.

“Because it’s going to be the hardest game you probably ever played in your career because of what the stakes are.” In the mean time, feel free to send thoughts and feelings to @LengelDavid or via Email. Not that it mattered as Andrew Wiggins, the former No 1 overall pick, stepped up and gave the most important performance of his career. They need to stop this bleeding before the Garden becomes a morgue. “You just understand what the nerves are like,” Curry told reporters earlier this week. That’s really the difference here, along with the Warriors threes and the Celtics lack of them, of course. So they’ll have to snap out of their Garden mediocrity if there’s going to be another cross-country haul in their future. That’s the half, one that started a lot better for Boston than it finished. Thanks to Andrew Wiggins piking up Golden State, Boston are back in a similar situation: having to sweep two games. Then Brown comes right back with a left handed layup of his own for Boston. It looks good, but the Celtics need stops. Curry walks, but they don’t call it - he passes to Thompson, who hits a fadeaway, straight on. And now we begin to wonder if they can do it all again in 2022-2023.

CHAMPS RISE AGAIN: Tears as Steph, Warriors complete return ... (Fox Sports)

First, they lost Kevin Durant and then Klay Thompson to injury before Steph Curry went down just one week into the regular season. The Golden era was over. But ...

Now the Warriors are at the apex of the basketball world once more, crowned 2021-22 champions after cruising to a 103-90 win over the Boston Celtics in Game 6 on Friday afternoon. Gary Payton II and Otto Porter Jr. had a few handy buckets at critical moments while Kevon Looney again made his presence felt on the offensive board (seven rebounds). The Warriors themselves were guilty of coughing it up and gifting the Celtics chances to get back in the game but the difference was that Boston simply could not capitalise to the same extent. “You hit rock bottom with injuries and the long road ahead... It was not enough to put the Warriors’ lead in danger though as Golden State held on to claim Game 6 and the title. The Celtics finished the half with 13 turnovers and on the wrong end of a 52-25 run, unable to really close the gap on the Warriors. It is not like the Celtics can’t defend — they can and had proven themselves to be the best in the NBA at it — but the offence simply was not doing them any favours. It was the longest run in an NBA Finals in the past 50 years, with Brown eventually bringing an end to Boston’s drought with a 3-pointer before backing it up soon after with another bucket to cut the deficit to 37-27. The Warriors picked off in the second quarter where they left off the first, scoring the first five points as Udoka was forced to call a timeout after just 50 seconds. It was remarkable Boston was in this position in the first place after it had a 20-21 record at the halfway point of the season but this is not how it was supposed to end for the Celtics, only made more frustrating by the way they opened Friday’s game. The Warriors then took the lead for the first time in the game after Curry, Green and Poole drained three-straight 3-pointers in the space of 80 seconds. Turnovers had proven one of Boston’s biggest issues in the post-season but this time around it was Golden State that was sloppy on the offensive end, coughing the ball up twice in the first two minutes as the Celtics took a 12-2 lead.
