Apple and Major League Soccer announced that the Apple TV app will be the exclusive destination to watch every live MLS match beginning in 2023.

The momentum will continue as soccer will grow throughout North America on the road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup hosted by the US, Canada, and Mexico. With players representing 82 countries, MLS has the most global player pool in all sports, and its fan base is one of the youngest, most diverse audiences in North American sports. Cupertino, California Apple and Major League Soccer (MLS) today announced that the Apple TV app will be the exclusive destination to watch every single live MLS match beginning in 2023. In addition to all of the match content, the service will provide fans a new weekly live match whip-around show so they never miss an exciting goal or save, and also game replays, highlights, analysis, and other original programming.

He was born in Detroit and began his soccer career in the Westlake Village AYSO when he was 5. She made her international debut as a 17-year-old and went on to play in 273 other games in a 16-year career that produced two World Cup and two Olympic titles. Paul Caligiuri (Westminster): Caligiuri had arguably the most important goal in men’s national team history when he accounted for the only score in a 1-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago in a 1989 qualifier than sent the U.S. back to the World Cup for the first time in 40 years. Shannon Boxx (Fontana): Boxx was born in Fontana but raised by a single mother in the South Bay, where she led the Torrance United Waves to four state titles and two trips to the national final four. He also played for three Gold Cup champions and made the all-tournament team in 2007. He played 152 games in MLS, was a member of three World Cup teams and ranks sixth all time in international appearances for the U.S. at 127. After coaching several seasons in Germany, Cherundolo returned to the U.S., coached one season with the Las Vegas Lights of the USL Championship and then replaced Bob Bradley as manager at LAFC. He was elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame last year. Carlos Bocanegra (Upland): Bocanegra won two CONCACAF Gold Cups and is one of 11 players to earn at least 110 international caps with the national team he captained.

Apple is rumored to be vying for the actual NFL Sunday Ticket at the same time rumors have linked Netflix to a bid for the rights on Formula 1. To watch the matches, fans will be able to subscribe to a new, currently unnamed MLS streaming service that will be available “exclusively through the Apple TV app,” according to Apple’s press release. A “broad selection” of MLS and Leagues Cup matches will be available to Apple TV Plus subscribers, “with a limited number of matches available for free.” If you’re a full-season ticket holder, you’ll get access to the new streaming service as well.
