Neither made the squad for this June's condensed schedule [Sancho suffered a bout of tonsillitis that required a stint in hospital] on merit. Nobody's career goes smoothly from start to finish and of course his rise from when he first broke into the team at United was incredible, really." If they thrive at club level, Southgate will have a blueprint for success on the international stage. "I think Marcus is very realistic," added the England manager. Rashford is just one of several players in an underperforming squad. Each attempt by the club to step up a revival since the Sir Alex Ferguson years has fallen flat on its face. The arrival of Edinson Cavani followed by Cristiano Ronaldo, however, pointed to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer not fully trusting him to lead the line, feeling he was more effective from the left. But I think his time has run at Manchester United." "He knows he is in a situation where he has not been getting in the United team consistently and he will be searching as much as anybody to get that form back." Phil Foden scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists in 45 games for Manchester City. We know he is desperate to do well." Bukayo Saka scored 15 in his 50 games for Arsenal and England. Jarrod Bowen finished on 18 goals from 51 matches in West Ham colours.

Aussie man accuses fugitive lover of identity theft (9Homes)

For Luke Allen and his partner Joshua Steele, life was seemingly perfect. They were madly in love and dreamed of starting a life together.

"Quite ironically a week before all of this happened and my life spiralled, we were watching the Tinder Swindler and I remember sitting on this exact couch and punching Josh in the arm saying, 'Can you believe what this man is doing to these women'?" Allen said. "I had barricaded myself in the house; I spent that night not being able to sleep, pacing around the house, checking the doors were locked," said Allen, who now likens his life to a Netflix documentary. "The first time I'd done it in the entire time we'd been seeing each other and the first two articles that popped up were news articles," he said. According to Allen's credit file, credit cards and loans were taken out in his name, some up to thousands of dollars. In an attempt to move on with his life, Allen put in an offer on an apartment and that's when his world imploded. "The bank turned around and said, 'We're not going to touch you with a 10-foot pole, because of your credit history, because you're essentially bankrupt'," Allen said.

Spider-Man: No Way Home Extended Cut to Release In Theaters (The Direct)

Sony announced that Spider-Man: No Way Home will be re-released in theaters with new footage.

There was also even more potential madness planned out for the final battle, including a rematch between Maguire's Spidey and the Green Goblin, but the full details will remain a mystery until September comes around. Almost no movie in recent memory has made an impact on the same level as Spider-Man: No Way Home, which broke the box office and the internet alike as 2021 came to an end. It should be particularly exciting to see more interaction between Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield as they learn about themselves and each other's universes on a deeper level.

'He's gone to another level': How Hrustic went from forgotten man to ... (The Sydney Morning Herald)

Ajdin Hrustic began World Cup qualifying seemingly as a fill-in. Now, he'll enter the do-or-die play-off against Peru as Australia's major goal threat.

He showed that courage to score a vicious free-kick against Japan in Saitama. He had no hesitation taking a penalty for Eintracht in the Europa League final shootout. His technique is really good, and he can score goals from outside the box.” That comes with training with better players, going to a higher level and also confidence.” Born in Melbourne to a Romanian mother and a Bosnian father, he abandoned the Australian player pathways programs at just 14. He’s scored twice in 27 games in his first year at Eintracht, winning the Europa League trophy. “He had a big confidence in himself,” Milicic said. With just five club appearances, Hrustic was thrown on against Brazil at the MCG in June 2017 – a debut that future-proofed the national team’s creative midfielder stocks. It seemed exorbitant for a player with one cap and just 50 club appearances. He had a good work rate and top set pieces.” But, if it seems he’s come from obscurity, it is because his story began in the shadows of the Australian game. It wasn’t until a surprise move to Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt in September that the first ripples began to appear. “They [Bosnia] have been calling left, right and centre in the last two weeks.
