Oceans also produce more than half of the world’s oxygen. The angelshark is a nocturnal bottom-dwelling shark species found in the eastern Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea. One of the reasons for this sharp decline is sea star wasting syndrome, which is a wasting disease that can lead to the eventual fragmentation of the sea star.
