Fortnite's "Collision" live event featured an island-wide battle with a massive mech, and now the battle royale game is down ahead of the launch of Chapter ...
The event ended with Jones and The Foundation — a character voiced by Dwayne Johnson — jumping into the Zero Point for... This led to a confrontation with Doctor Slone — who has seemingly turned into the game’s main antagonist — before the mech eventually saved the day. Eventually, the mech went down, leading to an on-foot infiltration where Jones led players through a series of battles centered around the mysterious Zero Point, which has been a focal point of Fortnite lore for years.
Well, there's another live Fortnite event in the books, the end of Chapter 3, season 2, where players were assigned to a giant mecha-bear battle mech to ...
And the stuff near the tanks. My guess is around 8 AM, but the patch will come out before, and dataminers are going to go nuts with it, as ever. We launched from the Seven’s moon base, and landed on the island to do battle with a whole bunch of tanks and blimps throwing missiles at us. My guess is the tier 100 skin, and we’ll see if any more Star Wars skins follow. Then, your minigun gets unlimited firing potential, you blow more stuff up and reach the middle. This event has now knocked the game offline with season 2’s ending ahead of season 3’s debut early tomorrow, Sunday, June 5.
Fortnite's Collision event for the end of Chapter 3 Season 2 saw players taking part in a concerted assault on the "Collider," the massive tower housing the ...
The mecha was then shot down, and players proceeded to a small PvE shooting portion while the Zero Point displayed views of multiple different realities—including the classic duel between Darth Vader and Obi Wan Kenobi at the end of A New Hope, possibly teasing some Vader action in Season 3. I've never recovered from Season of the Worthy. This portion also featured the destruction of the Fortress and at least some of the IO Airship landmarks on the Island, continuing Fortnite's tradition of season-ending map changes. All in all, pretty neat stuff, not sure how invested the average Fortniter is in the ongoing story, but it made for a good spectacle.
Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite servers are now down and have also provided a release date for when Chapter 3 Season 3 is out.
For anyone who is trying to access Fortnite Battle Royale today, there is a good chance that you will find a picture of a mushroom and a song playing in the background. This will include sharing new videos on the upcoming Battle Pass, and what story changes have been made to the game for the new season. Epic Games has taken down Fortnite servers today and they are not expected to come back online until Sunday, June 5.
Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 just wrapped up after another explosive finale. The Fortnite event put players in control of The Seven's reborn Doggus mech ...
Players and The Paradigm barely escaped from the wreck, and were greeted by Jonesy and The Foundation, who led the group up a spiraling interior surrounding the Zero Point, where the Collider once stood. Slicing and dicing, the mech inched ever so closely to the Collider, hellbent on destroying it before it could destroy all life on the island as intended. As the group barreled toward the island's home world, players took to their gunner seats once more to clear the way of asteroids and other debris--we even saw a piece of one of The Last Reality's alien spaceships. After taking on a huge barrage of missiles, the mech was hurting badly and nearly non-functional. The Fortnite event put players in control of The Seven's reborn Doggus mech suit in a battle for the island. Comically, Jonesy tried to wiggle his way into being an official member of The Seven. He even gave himself a name: The Legend. The Foundation wasn't really on board, but it didn't stop Jonesy from trying to make the name stick as the event went on.
Fortnite's latest season has concluded with this year's first big live event, as the battle royale Island's heroes aime…

I'd feared the stakes might mean at least one of the heroes might not make it through, though I'd hoped for more of a conclusive end for Slone and the IO. We'll have to see how things shake out next season. All seemed to be going well until the IO's blimps turned up - and then it was the turn of fan-favourite Peely to drive by and save the day with a Popeye spinach can-like oil tanker full of healing Slurp to restore the mech and restart its charge. In a sinkhole by the superweapon, IO boss Doctor Slone - who had been causing trouble for players for at least a year - sat between you and your goal. Aided by Jones and Foundation, you distracted Slone while the mech seemingly ended Slone for good (finally!) with an enjoyable punch. Starting off the event, players found themselves in groups of up to four people inside Fortnite's bear mech for the first time.
