From Engadine Macca-roons to Clive Palmiers, hungry voters are spoilt for choice at polling booths in Sydney.
Lewisham Public School spruiked the Josh Fried-and-Burnt caramel slice and the Rate Rise to Perfection cake. No polling booth is complete without a democracy sausage ($4) but the menu at the Camdenville school also included The Josh Fried’n’Burg (sausage and egg, $5), The Albacheesy (haloumi and egg roll, $5), The Barnaby (pulled pork barrel roll, $6) and The Pauline (plain white roll, $2). Barnaby joys ($2), Jacqui lamingtons ($5) and I don’t hold a hose cupcakes ($3) were also on offer at the polling booth, which is in Anthony Albanese’s electorate of Grayndler.
