Prijovic set up the decisive third goal in the 78th minute, as his delightful layoff fell to Lachie Wales, whose shot deflected off a Victory player into the net. Young was on hand again in injury time to deny Brendan Hamill from long range, and the United goalkeeper had to stay alert as he spilled the ball but quickly stuck out a foot to whip the ball away from danger. Prijovic was inches away from getting his second of the game almost straight away as Risdon clipped a ball over the top of the defence, but the Serbian just couldn’t reach the ball as he slid in to prod it towards goal.
