Cobbo and Oates shine in double act, Broncos rookie fills Reynolds void: 3 Big Hits.

Sold some candy to Cobbo, Riki and the rest and if it wasn’t for Te Maire Martin he might have scored and ran the length. I like the fact that wherever the ball is, Kalyn has turned up. “They went back and reviewed it and there was a little bit of a disconnect and I don’t think Dane Gagai re-gripped. 10 linebreaks already in 2022, the third most in the NRL.” The Broncos are looking to make it five wins in a row and keep in touch with the all important top four, while the Knights are looking for back-to-back wins to keep pace with the top eight. “He had some nice touches. His first touch he went dummy, dummy inside. Mam is almost the opposite sort of halfback to Reynolds, but he played to his strengths and filled in for the veteran with aplomb. “There is something happening around him all the time. Ponga led from the front with 168 metres, five tackle busts, two linebreaks and a try to keep his team in the contest for most of the night. Milford was short of a run of course, but tried hard all night and was unlucky not to set up a try for Dane Gagai that was a contentious call that went against the Knights. Te Maire Martin produced a brilliant pass to give Cobbo his second of the night and put the icing on the cake for the Broncos fifth straight win.

The Knights go for their second straight win on Thursday when they take on the Broncos in NRL Rugby action.

If they get a little help, they could move up to No. 4 in the standings with a win. The Broncos have been hot, winning their last four after they had dropped four in a row. They finally got back in the win column last week, though.

Mam had a moment to forget when he failed to deal with a Clune grubber and Knights forward Tyson Frizell gleefully picked the ball up to score the opener with 10 minutes played. Broncos Grind Out 36-12 Win Over Knights (Broncos)

The Brisbane Broncos have shown they can ”win ugly” by posting a 36-12 victory on the road against Newcastle at a chilly McDonald Jones Stadium.

Staggs converted to level it up at 6-6. The Knights then hit back when Ponga raced away to score under the posts but the resilient Broncos pushed away again in the 67th minute when Cobbo capitalised on a strong break by Staggs down the right, receiving the pass back inside and just making it to the line to score. Ponga converted to make it 6-0 after nine minutes.

Somehow, the Bunker cleared the obstruction. After earlier denying Dane Gagai a try in strange scenes, the Bunker has now handed the Broncos a try despite a clear obstruction. The play ended in Selwyn Cobbo scoring, but the Bunker examined the incident. The Bunker has once again robbed the Knights in a big way. Then Selwyn Cobbo was gifted a try when the Bunker somehow cleared a clear obstruction in the lead-up. Knights captain Kalyn Ponga darted through the Brisbane defence to find his way to the tryline.
