Please Watch This New MultiVersus Game Trailer and Go Insane ... (Gizmodo)

Also known as "the game where Batman thinks Bugs Bunny is about to pull a gun on Arya Stark."

Of course, no one needs any reason to want to murder the Tasmanian Devil at any time. For instance, while I might be losing my mind over Batman’s clear concern that the anthropomorphic rabbit who has suddenly appeared before him might be pulling a loaded firearm from some hidden recess, the Dark Knight needs to have some reason to battle Bugs Bunny, just like Arya Stark needs to take offense at Batman’s unwarranted antagonism and decide to murder Shaggy’s sandwich in retribution so they can all square off. And yet, we’re all forced to reckon with this very real new trailer for MultiVersus, the WB’s upcoming, Super Smash Bros.-esque brawler in which every moment feels like a purposeful assault on reason and sanity.

MultiVersus' Iron Giant Controversy Explained (Game Rant)

MultiVersus' official cinematic trailer is all about team-ups, as characters from diverse Warner Bros. properties are thrown into a shared multiverse.

If it were up to them, the Iron Giant would not be a part of any title that forces it to engage in combat or violence. This way, it could be appreciated that they are able to play as Iron Giant in MultiVersus. This has irked fans who know this is what the original character was opposed to, and many believe its inclusion in MultiVersus to also be grossly misrepresentative of the character’s morals.

Nobody really said it better than Twitter user DJMCTV who wrote that the latest MultiVersus trailer was "like mixing cereal." The Smash Bros.

The characters' abilities are primarily designed to synergize in 2v2 matches, but the game will also offer 1v1 and 4-player FFA modes. You have Batman standing next to Shaggy who punches Bugs Bunny square in the face. In the trailer, we get to see some new additions to the cast, as well as a look into how MultiVersus will try to reconcile their vastly different backgrounds into one, cohesive game.

The one great thing it has going for it is that the Multiversus cost will be free to play on launch and cross-play. The game was a good fighter but missed some of the mainline appeal due to many not feeling like it was complete. This was a big draw for the game as fans had always wanted to fight with characters like Aang from Avatar, Spongebob and so many more.

This is going to be a 2v2 tournament with players competing in doubles. Features like this have gone a long way towards making the title open to competitive communities. WB Games is taking esports matters into their own hands at EVO this year, sponsoring their own $100K MultiVersus tournament.

MultiVersus launches sign-ups for closed alpha test (Rock Paper Shotgun)

MultiVersus is a platform fighting game starring Warner Bros. characters, from Bugs Bunny to Batman to Arya Stark to Shaggy from Scooby Doo.

Can Superman use his heat vision to microwave Tom & Jerry? Is the Iron Giant forever destined to be forced to act violently in IP crossovers? You'll need to create a (free) WB Games account if you don't already have one, and you'll need to say what platform you want to test it on. I'll be honest, I have all kinds of skepticism when it comes to MultiVersus. Is anyone clamouring for a game that smooshes together Adventure Time and DC Comics and Scooby Doo and Bugs Bunny? And aren't many of these characters going to be flattened in a way that renders the depiction unsatisfying for their specific fans?

Finally, Shaggy can kill the Batman in WB's MultiVersus (The A.V. Club)

Warner Bros. finally has a Super Smash Bros. to call their own.

But it more or less looks exactly like Super Smash Bros., with characters flying all over a memorable WB setting, like the Batcave, and button-mashing their way to victory. You know, the one where Batman stabs Bugs Bunny with a bat-a-rang and breaks every bone in his little body. For the Multiversus’ trailer, they’ve pulled out some serious ringers, including Superman, Batman, Bugs Bunny, Shaggy (who goes Super Sayian and becomes Ultra Instinct Shaggy, which is a thing we’re all just going to have to live with), Taz, Tom & Jerry, Wonder Woman, Steven Universe, Araya Stark, something called Reindog, Adventure Time’s Jake and Finn, Garnet, Harley Quinn, and, of course, Velma Dinkley, who better be wearing her friggin’ glasses strap.
